Revolution – Live at the Cavern Club

We’ve finally reached the end of our second set at the Cavern Club!!!

Over the last two years, we have been uploading a video from one of our Cavern Club performance every month. And today we have reached the end of that journey.

Our cover of “Revolution” was the last song on our 28-song set list of our final performance of a 2-year residency at the Cavern Club which we played on October 9th, 2016.

We have now put all the videos into one long playlist which you can find on the Live at the Cavern Club overview page. Almost 90 minutes of music 🙂

We’ll leave you with this final video!

Stay groovy,
Mona & Lisa

  1. I know I’ve commented on this already but this is one of my favorites of yours or anybody’s. Of course I love the Beatles version but you guys take it to the next level. Mona is a better rocker chick than Joan Jett and I love Joan. Lisa totally shreds the guitar work. Just straight up Rock and Roll. That’s all I need.

  2. Is this version on YouTube? I really like the video I’ve seen on YouTube but this is even better. Mona’s vocals are more vibrant (if that’s possible) and Lisa looks like she’s having fun tearing up the lead guitar. When I first heard it on the CD in the car I had to drive around and replay it 3 or 4 times. I really like good Rock n Roll when it’s done right.

  3. I agree Tim, this song drew me in back in 2017 and to see this performance of Revolution is spectacular to me. Mona is on her game with the vocals and rhythem playing and Lisa? OMG She is tearing it up on lead guitar not to say Charlie on the drums as well. When I listen to this song I turn it up and rock out !!!

  4. I liked early AC/DC for the same reason I love this. It’s just nasty Rock n Roll the way it’s suppose to be.

  5. You all light up the stage! Great performance! Mona does a great job on the vocal, Lisa is equally good on lead and Kellum and Charlie add to the excitement. What a way to end the show! I am sure the people wanted more! Great job all!

  6. 13 Jan 1964: A reluctant Capitol Records released the first Beatles record in the US “to see how it goes”. I Wanna Hold Your Hand became their fastest selling single – one million copies were sold in the first three weeks.

  7. Hi Mona Hi Lisa. This is just sensational. What I would give to have seen that live at the Cavern. I hope you perform there again Mona & Lisa and I will be there.

Live at the Cavern is the best live album I have heard in years. This is right up there with one of my favourite Beatles songs and who you nailed it

  8. What a way to end your residency at the Cavern Club! Mona letting it all go, and Lisa doing a flawless solo. Thank you for this great post.

Mona and Lisa: The grooviest ladies in the world! 🙂

  9. A rip roaring version of a classic! Mona shredding her vocal chords, Lisa shredding on her axe and the boys tearing it up on the bass and drums! A sweet ending to a great series of videos ladies! Bravo!

  10. Now that is a way to end a show gang! Wow such energy and making you to want more in my opinion. I have been waiting for this video and you ladies always bring the goods. I love this song and Mona is the driving force behind it and Lisa is simply tearing it up on lead guitar. I mean how can you not feel great watching and hearing this song! Again this proves the fact that we all know ….Mona and Lisa are simply the best and no one in my opinion can come close to the talent Mona and Lisa have! To take a song like Revolution which is an all time classic by the Beatles and to make it their own says so much. Not many groups can pull this off like Mona and Lisa do. This has been worth the wait and I have watched this mulitple times and love it more and more. Thank you so much Mona and Lisa for sharing your god given talent and please keep it coming.

Love Bill and Maddie Isenberg Huge Fans from Pittsburgh Pa USA
PS…I Think they had to fix the roof on the Cavern club and hope you all had your windows and doors open while listening to this rocker !

  11. Echoing what everyone is saying here. What an amazing show. Start to finish, with a great cherry-on-the-top to top an unbelievable performance by all.
Thank yo for such a gift!

  12. Hi Mona, Hi Lisa.. So we came to the end of this wonderful show at the Cavern Club..it was a magical night for sure. I would very much like to have been there..surely it was a perfect performance from the first to the last musical note, the energy and your talent on stage is impressive. Could you guys also show a little behind the scenes of this gig? it would be possible?. Stay groovy dear girls.

  13. Well shoot ! Ever since getting the Live album and listening to it darn near every night as I traveled around the paper route I was always under the impression that Mona was “the screamer”..it wasn’t till watching this vid that I found out Lisa was in on the act…you two girls work so well together it’s truly a gift from God and Callum and Charlie get a lot of respect from this old fart for a great FLAWLESS live album….I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again…many years as a radio DJ and Talent Coordinator for the Dallas / Ft Worth Metroplex Country Music Association this is the finest live album I’ve ever heard…Papa Rudi gets great kudos for a fabulous job on sound control….I’m sad that it’s over for this live performance…..can’t wait for the next one…..anxiously waiting for that new original album.

  14. Alright!!! I concur with all the remarks about Lisas guitar work and Monas singing and screaming! The best part is how they play off of one another! Sibling love and energy!

  15. Ill have to say that was quite number to close the last set out for the night. Both of you and the whole band still put a LOT of energy into that song, which sent the patrons home knowing they had more than got their moneys worth!!! Seeing that makes me sad to think I could have been there but simply procrastinated too long. I still have hope for the future that Ill outlive covid 19 and get the chance to see you two on some stage…somewhere one day. However, in the mean time, having some access to you on the MLT club is a fulfilling experience in and of itself. Thank you as always for any and all content you share with us. It keeps us…. well…. Groovy!!!

  16. Love these songs where the plaudits are even. Lisa plays her mean guitar but wow, Mona’s rock voice (and screams) really suit the song.
Just love it when Mona sings.

  17. Great cover with Mona giving it everything including the Lennon-esque screams while Lisa owns the guitar sound! Such energy in the performance from a great tight band.

  18. How about a little rock and roll!! Ladies, that was epic. Hard to believe that was five years ago. This was awesome but you have gotten better and better with time, but I can’t think of a word bigger than ‘epic’.

  19. Fantastic live performance with so much energy and emotion. You nailed it!. Superb vocals Mona and great guitar work Lisa. Another virtuosos performance from the Cavern Club clips!

  20. A fabulous performance! You look like you’re having a great time every song and the same seems true for the crowd. It would have incredible to be among them, but it wasn’t to be for me. :<{ At least I can watch the playlist and pretend. (Any chance there’s a DVD on the making, or is that too old school?)

  21. Great performance. A lot of people (who didn’t listen to the lyrics closely enough) think the song is pro-revolution. Nevertheless, it’s a great performance. The views of the crowd showed that they were into it.
I wonder if it would ever be possible to show the wall at the back with all of the band’s names at once?

  22. Oh…my…GOODNESS!!! I’ve waited so long for this performance. I love the older video and I love the song on the girls’ Cavern CD, but this virtuoso visual performance has me at a loss for adequate praise. Mona, you have the most soulful rocker voice – it’s so powerful like on Club 27. Lisa, you would make George so proud with your amazing fills and fantastic solo. The energy from the band after all those songs is just phenomenal – lots of props to the drummer. I would fly almost anywhere you ladies were performing live. But seeing you in the Club and Advent calendar and livestream is the next best thing; thanks so much for that and for being so special.

  23. This is easily one of the best series of live performances of classic rock songs ever. Even the original artists didn’t always perform this well live. The MLT original songs fit in beautifully and were just as strong as the more famous tunes. Great overall band. What a class act. I hope you will record more live performances in the future.

  24. Oowi! I feel the vibe from here in OKC. I have the double album, but I didn’t know it was Lisa who does the “AAAAA!!!” at the beginning. Love the energy you guys always bring. Shout out to the drummer – he is fantastic. Wish I could’ve been there. I also, like the audience mixture of young folks, and folks my age. Stay groovy. Peace be.

  25. This rocks! This series was so remarkable just didn’t want it to end. Thank you for recording this and sharing it with us. You sure like spoiling us! 🙂

  26. Wow! I didn’t realize before that your final Cavern Club show was on October 9th (John Lennon’s birthday, and my Dad’s????)! What an awesome concert! Magnificent to have it all in one place to rock out to! Obviously, this only fans the flame of my desire to see you perform live someday like gas on a campfire! ???? THANK YOU!

  27. Hello Ladies,
Ladies! You do know how to bring the house down, and leave us gasping for more. This has been such an incredible show. I, for one, could not have asked for more.
I am so excited as I have saved each song, in order, to play back as my own exclusive MonaLisa Twins Concert! ????
Ladies, after receiving so many requests for a live on line concert, you and your team delivered in a way that blew each of us away!
Thank you again so very much for such a wonderful Exclusive.
Best Wishes and much success this year to each of you!
    Rick

  28. What a way to finish up!!!! WOW!!!Pure Rock N Roll and you guys knocked it out of the park!!! You added your own bliss to the song and with Mona’s scratchy voice and Lisa’s Licks, you couldn’t ask for any better and congratulation’s to putting this part of your journey and this project behind you. Stay Groovy and thanks!!

  29. What a Fantastic performance! I can only imagine how much fun it would have been to be in that crowd that night! That was definitely a roof raising performance of a Beatle’s Great! Well done!!! Love the video, and congratulations on your residency there at the World’s most famous club!

  30. From the opening primal screams ( which is fantastic) to the blistering guitar work to the hot ending, it is epic????????????????????.

  31. Wow Mona and Lisa, you guys finished off the last song of the set and last song of your 2 year residency at the Cavern with a bang indeed! The energy, rocking vocals, and guitar sounds are all incredible! You can see it in the crowd, they loved it as did I just witnessing this! You must have felt a lot of emotions of pride and joy and accomplishment on stage. Well deserved. This is rock and roll at it’s finest, done with such amazing finesse. Kudos to two genius musicians who continued the long standing tradition of the legends of great music at the Cavern for 2 years. You are both legends!

    Edited to add:
Thanks so much for setting up the video auto-play, it’s awesome to watch the entire 28 song set play consecutively automatically like that. MLT Club is the best of the best in music on the internet bar none! Love it. ???? ???? ????

  32. Awesome performance!! I would have loved to see you live. Maybe someday I will.

Congratulations, what a great end to an incredible performance. This is my favorite four piece band.

A great big goofy smile hangs on my face watching this. I love the GoPro on Lisa’s guitar. She is so much fun to watch as her fingers fly over the frets so effortlessly.

    You chicks rock!
