One, two, three, four, one, two …
YEAH! It’s time for a new ‘Live at the Cavern Club’ video!
Our shows there always consisted of two sets every Saturday night and we kicked off set number two with “Taxman” more often than not. Just like the Revolver album starts off with it, too. 🙂
We hope you’ll enjoy the clip! We will continue to work our way through the setlist of the second set in the months ahead!

Mona has an extra soft spot for George…admit it Mona! Your renditions of Harrison’s songs always are special whether it a rocker like this or a ballad like “Here Comes The Sun” on the Duo Sessions. Super!!!
I have to tell you that this not one of my favorite songs on Revolver or by the Beatles. I guess it always reminded me how much I was paying out and I am sure by 1966 the Beatles were to which is why they wrote it, maybe? Anyway good job! Stay Groovy!!!!

Taxman is one of my favourite Beatles songs. Its awesome to have another version to listen to that I like just as much. And as awesome as this is, I can’t keep myself from asking for another version someday, with an extended solo in that style. Lisa is the one person I think that could really pull it off.
One of George´s best songs and your version really rocks ! Nice work ! Though George wrote the song Paul plays the guitar solos on the original recording. Your solos are equal to Paul´s fretwork, Lisa !

A great opening number for any set. Even Paul’s Indian influenced solo well played. There’s only one word for this “groovy”.
OMG What a fantastic job on Taxman! From Mona rythm playing and vocals to Lisa tearing it up on lead guitar!! One thing that is so amazing about the Mona Lisa Twins is how well they cover Beatle songs. The reason well one reason because of so many for the Beatles is their arrangement of cords and vocals on their songs. This is not an easy task speaking as a musican my self, example of this is Black Bird. The cords are complexed and the timing is not easy to follow at first. And Mona and Lisa do this so well and with each song they cover? They include all the little riffs that make the song what it is, another example is Drive My Car, Lisa does the Piano part on guitar and it sounds awesome.So Taxman is another gem from the live show. I thoroughly enjoyed this! Love those superb intricate guitar runs Lisa that you do so effortlessly. Mona, your lead vocals are brilliant as always, you give the perfect touch it needs. Such top form on every single song on this album, just love it and can’t stop listening. Live albums usually never sound so great throughout, yet yours do. Bravo!

I think this might be my new favorite Cavern video for the moment, but then…I can’t pick just one. It’s all good.
Mona’s vocals are crystal clear, and she still gets in some rebel yells. Ya-a-a! Both guitars sound awesome. Lisa’s solos are on fire. I love how the GoPro captures her serious solo face. Her precise playing amazes me.
So that’s what Caleb sounds like, the harmonies are right on. It seems like he has a little more presence here. Charlie doesn’t miss a beat. Nothing like a great drummer to keep the band in check. You all look like you were having a blast.
I have always loved that line “declare the pennies on your eyes”. I did not know of this custom until I first heard this song. Then I went looking. Although, one can get some idea from the lyrics, I think it was my hippie guitar teacher that clued me in.
I’m very happy for the MLT team to have recorded this show and other adventures for us, but more for yourselves. It must be so much fun to re-live these memories. Your one of the few families who can roll out their “home movies, or vacation photos” without causing your guests to run for the door.

I just got your Live at the Cavern Club double CD and to hear it is something else….BUT…to see you doing the songs live is even better. A couple of others off the live album I hope you will show the live versions of is, Tell Me Why and You Can’t Do That. Two of my personal favorites from A Hard Days Night. You ladies KILLED those two…PERFECT….I love it. Best of the New Year to Mona and Lisa…..oh and I Thank You for the autographs on the CD’s I got for Christmas…..LOVE IT as always….Peace, Love and Happiness

Love these Cavern Club videos. Aside from your great covers, the videos are well shot and constructed. Visually they have a real feel of being part of the audience whilst i watch it via the website. I imagine your father is a big part of the production! Keep them coming.

Whilst listening to the CD is great, to actually see the performance somehow adds to the quality of the sound. This is virtually as I imagined it but better (of course). Superb vocals and lead. Nuff said.
Such weird timing in this song, everything on the third beat or maybe various other places. I tried following along after the count in and quickly got turned upside down. You make it look easy. And fun!

Absolutely fantastic! Of course Mona’s vocals are such beautiful tones and Lisa’s harmonies and guitar riffs are perfect – all live with no chance to fix mistakes! All I can say is wish I was there and I’ll do anything possible to see my favorites live.
You know, it just struck me that the only person I’ve ever heard do George better than Mona is, well, George. I think she somehow inherited a sliver of his spirit the same way Lisa was gifted with a bit of John’s.

Every time you release another video from the Cavern Club, it just gets better and better. You girl just keep improving both on vocals and guitarist skills. Taxman shows just how high you have moved the bar. Now I wonder where the pinnacle will be for both of you. Excellent live cover from the Cavern Club.
I so envy those who were able to see MLT during their residency at the Cavern Club! The vids are awesome, but I can only imagine the intense energy of the live shows! Truly hope I have the chance to see you ladies live someday!
