These Boots Are Made For Walking – Live At The Cavern Club

Are you ready, boots?

We are now 4 songs into our Cavern Club setlist from our last ever performance there. Nancy Sinatra’s “Boots Are Made For Walking” has been a staple at many of our live shows.

If you think you are experiencing a deja-vu right now let us explain … A few years ago we already released a live version of that song on YouTube. In fact, it was also filmed at the Cavern during another one of our 100 shows there.

However, for the sake of uploading our entire set of that particular final night, we decided not to skip it. Now you have two different versions 🙂 Do you prefer one over the other?

Are you ready boots? Let’s start walking …

Stay groovy,
Mona & Lisa

  1. I prefer this version; where you can hear the lead guitar do the descending bassline in unison with the bass, but they’re both good! I miss the delayed ‘rat-tat-tat’ of the drum in the original, but understand that might have jarred with your more rockabilly version of the tune 🙂

  2. I love these Cavern sessions! You ladies are so energetic and command the stage; and your band mates make you such a tight group. You’re the best visual and audio live performers I’ve ever seen. Masters of your live craft and videos and studio, you have no limits on what you can do! God bless MLT!

  3. Maybe I’m Amazed at how tight you play and how effortlessly you get the audience rocking, no matter who you play with. Can’t say one version is better than the other, but you’ve clearly passed the 10,000 hr mark.
One Saturday, when all the videos are uploaded, I will watch them all again back to back in my home theater and feel like I was there!
    Thank you!

  4. I have to agree exactly with Angelo and Thomas. Mona’s Ricky adds a lot and given the chance to also see whats happening back stage is always a treat. But, I’m really glad you are giving us a complete “last performance”. Its one to cherish.

  5. I had never seen the first one so naturally I went back and had a look. Love the behind the scenes stuff but Wow the last one had so much energy and passion! So I vote number 2! It’s a different vibe than your usual stuff but well worth it! Did Lisa ever get her hair caught in the guitar? Just wondering!

  6. Thomas Randall said “… ” and I totally agree with him.
“Like them both,” But ” I love the other version” better “because of Mona’s Rick and the off stage footage stuff!”

  7. I never liked this tune, but I do now! At least your version of it. Much more upbeat than the original – great job!

  8. Just lovely ladies. Keep them coming. I don’t know what your next number is but I know I’m going to enjoy it. I’m also looking forward to your next Duo Session cover. The last two have taken you to the toppermost of the poppermost! Where to next! ?❤️

  9. I recall last year in one of the forum posts about favorite MLT videos, I mentioned “These Boots Are Made for Walkin” was one of my favorites of your videos because it magically captured not only the superb performance of the song, but the mood and feel of the cavern club as it showed the ambience of the audience and the rehearsal room while you played. I love this latest version posted too with it’s unique start off, more melodic and rythmic feel, pronounced dual guitar sounds, wonderful cool ending riffs, and like the first video can feel that energy of your performance and excitement of the audience. It just goes to show the awesome improvisation and creativity that goes into your performances. I love both equally, you do magic to this song! Thank you!

  10. I really enjoyed this version, I like it much better than version 1.
There were a couple of added tid bits and the crowd was more into this performance.
I’m not ready to CONFESS, but These Boots Will NOT Walk All Over Me???❤

  11. Another beauty, Still loving the sound of Lisa’s guitar, the drummer up to his old tricks at 1:26, and the bass player who missed the end of the song :). Love live music. Makes me miss playing during these times of lock down.

  12. Hell Yes.. I’m loving this… Was singing along with ya while watching, as though I was actually there in front of stage seeing/singing/grooving along… This kix some serious Rock n Roll Groovy Ass… Stellar….. Fab Friday Uplifter for me… Thankyou for sharing…
I don’t mind having this to be stuck in my head for a long while…. ??
