Day 24

By our Austrian tradition (where we are originally from), today is Christmas. Growing up, we weren’t even aware that so many places consider the 25th to be the “official” Christmas. But reunited with our Austrian family we are celebrating today 🙂

It’s tradition here to make up the tree on the 24th … When the “Christkind” sweeps in, leaves some presents, turns the regular fir tree into a glittering centrepiece, lights the candles and rings a little bell to call the children into the room, before it flies out of the window to avoid being spotted. Today we helped out little Christkind and did some of the decorating for it 🙂

We’ll spend the rest of the day enjoying hugs, conversation, cookies, laughs and having time with the people we don’t get to see enough of during the year ♥ Phones stay turned OFF!

We wish you all a wonderful day, regardless whether you celebrate today, tomorrow or not at all.

Hugs,

M&L xx
