Day 25 – Merry Christmas II

From the bottoms of our hearts …

… We want to wish all of you the merriest of Christmases today. Whether you celebrate yesterday or today, we truly hope your day is filled with peace and wonder ♥

You will hear from us later with a MLT Club Wire in which we will go over everything there is to know about how we are wrapping up the Christmas Calendar, when we will count up the points, send out the prizes etc.

For now, enjoy the day and make it as magical as you can!

Thank you for helping make this month so truly special.

  1. I hope that everyone here in the UK is OK after storm Bella of yesterday and overnight. Thankfully there appears to be little damage in this part of north London and as we are comparatively high there is no flooding.

  2. I had intended on doing some make-up posts on Thursday in order to get the required points, and then as things usually do at Christmas, everything went south and I never got the chance. I thought, wow, I did all that work and crafting and everything for nothing. But then I immediately realized that it wasn’t for nothing at all. I got so much from it that I was never expecting. I got to know all of you a bit better. I really felt a sense of community as we all shared our experiences and movies and recipes and poetry and everything else. Having Mona and Lisa right in it with us, commenting, encouraging, updating, etc. really makes one feel connected and appreciated. And then of course, the livestream was the highlight of my year. So no matter the point count, it was one of the best Christmas gifts I received. So, heartfelt thanks to Mona and Lisa and every one of you that participated and made my Christmas such a happy and hopeful one. Looking forward to spending the future with all of you.

  3. Merry Christmas to Mona and Lisa and Pa Pa and Michelle. You have made 2020 a year for us to embrace with each other during this most difficult of times. Listening to your music has got me thru 2020 in so many ways. And you both and Pa Pa and Michelle have worked very hard during the lock down and provided us with hope and love for 2021. God has blessed us club members with you and each other. I know this is a day late but Merry Christmas to Mona and Lisa and team Mona and Lisa and all the club members. May god bless us all and lets stay groovy in 2021.
    Love you all
Bill and Maddie Isenberg huge fans from Pittsburgh Pa USA

  4. Merry Christmas and Happy New year to everybody at the Wagner house and here at the club! It’s been a tough year but next year HAS GOT TO BE MUCH BETTER! Stay safe and healthy everyone!

    1. Thanks Thomas, no truer words have been spoken, Got to be much better!!! Thank god for the Mona Lisa Twins and this club, has made it so much better for me

  5. Merry Crimble! My three best Christmas presents. The Beatles games provided by my kids and “Live at the Cavern Club” arriving just on time.

  6. Ladies just a quick Note,
believe it or not there really is a movie called KRAMPUS. it is rated PG13. A 2 hour movie based on the ancient myth in Europe of a devil looking creature that seeks out naughty children on December 5th. – He visits them instead of St Nicholas visit on Dec. 6th

  7. Hope everyone had a joyous and healthy and peaceful Christmas. After the livestream I was in such a happy mood after getting to see our favorites so naturally vivacious and caring towards their fans.
Thanks so much Mona,Lisa,Rudi, and Michaela for making this Christmas/Advent season unforgettable. Wishing a happy healthy new year to all!

  8. Good evening everyone, I know it is very late on this side of the world and too early in Europe, but I hope you had a good time with all the restrictions we have for family reunions.

I wish you all a Merry Christmas.

    1. Thanks Refugio, a quiet one of course with Covid but hoping you had a good Christmas and like you? Looking forward to 2021 with much hope. Take care my friend

  9. Hope y’all had a Merry Christmas, ours is just about over here. Fun day – 65F and sunny so we grilled steaks for dinner. Talked to the family on the phone. All-in-all not a bad day for 2020!

  10. Christmas is almost over in my time zone here in the States. I just want to say that I hope Christmas brought some joy, peace, and love to all the people of the world, but especially to this great community of the MLT Club. To say thank you to Lisa, Mona, Michaela, and Rudolph for making spirits brighter for all of us just does not seem like enough, but my sincerest and heart felt thank you to the whole family. God Bless you all…

  11. Just got home from our family Christmas gathering at my sister’s house. 9 people total ranging from 11 to 91 yrs. old. Hadn’t seen most since beginning of pandemic. Wonderful day! Introduced 6 of the 9 to your music via the Christmas album. ALL were impressed! Dinner, then Christmas story from Bible, then opening gifts while MLT played in the background. As track 11 began, all fell silent as the 9 of us joined the two on CD in “Silent Night”, since we didn’t get to sing it by candlelight in church this Christmas Eve. God bless you for this transformational moment in my family’s lives.

    1. Jacki,
A Day late for me my friend by hoping your Christmas was good. Snow pounded us in the USA northeast coast , got a white Christmas but just me and my wife and kids. And of course my little Maddie!

  12. Merry Christmas Mona, Lisa, Rudin, Michaela, to all. I’m able to celebrate with my family ( 2nd oldest brother couldn’t join in person, but we all spoke on speakerphone with him, This is the best Xmas Gift, seeing my oldest brother, his family in person after a full year not seeing them, in the flesh ❤????

  13. Merry Christmas to all that celebrate on the 25th and Happy New Year to those who celebrated yesterday…..here in sunshiny Dallas / Ft Worth Tx and 59 degrees NO SNOW….if I can remember correctly it may have been in 2013 when we actually had any snow at all that hit the ground without melting immediately….Sleigh Ride and Frosty the Snowman are definitely two songs that don’t cut it here…we can get away with White Christmas because as the song says ….I’m “dreaming” of a White Christmas…..love you girls !

    1. Rick here in the northeast we got pounded on Christmas, we got 6 inches and got our white Christmas so I will go sled riding with Maddie in your honor!!!

  14. Mona and Lisa,
This was my first couple of months with the MLT club, and the Advent Calendar has been such a fun addition to the holiday season. Listened to your Christmas CD when opening presents this morning. When I posted on Day 1, I was a little intimidated since I was new and wasn’t “musical” or played an instrument like many of the people posting seemed to be. You made me feel just as welcome. Well, I googled what was the easiest instrument for an older (and I mean old!) absolute beginner to learn how to play. Guess what Santa left for me under the tree? A ukulele!!! I’m going to have all that fun I missed out on earlier in life. If I can hit even a single strum with near the beauty you produce song after song after song, I will be in heaven. Thank you for the inspiration! [We’ll see if my family thanks you after they hear me play a bit 🙂 ????].
I love your music and especially love who you seem to be as people. Happy holidays to you, your family, and the whole MLT club group. Here’s to a great 2021!

    1. welcome to the best place in the internet. Mona and Lisa are always this kind. Michaela and Rudi taught them well.

  15. Merry Christmas to Mona,Lisa, Michaela and Rudy. Your family adds so much joy to all of us “clubbers”. You have been a star on a really dark night this year. Merry Christmas to all of the MLT clubbers also.

  16. Merry Christmas to you, Mona and Lisa, and Michaela and Rudolf from myself and Helen.
We have had our Christmas Dinner at home now, sad that we have been pretty isolated from our loved ones, but made the very most of it with a Zoom party online, with a family quiz, singing and laughter and jokes. The Christmas spirit is till with us all and hopefully we will be able to share it again in more normal ways very soon. Love to you and your family, to all members of the MLT’s club and anyone who loves the music!

      1. Thank you Nigel. Sorry but I have only visited here briefly over the last few days. Did Storm Bella cause you any problems?

Happy New Year to you and your family.

  17. Got up to a white Christmas here in London, ON, Canada! Just shoveled the 12 inches of snow that arrived over night out of our driveway. Merry Christmas to all!

    1. I’d rather not receive that much snow in one go as it would paralise the UK. More than an inch and we just stop as no one is used to it in the south.

Rumour has it that we may receive a few flakes on Monday or it may just be that ultimate disappointment….sleet.

    2. It was a green raining Xmas Day in Ottawa, snow decided to bypass us here….lol…but it does help make Xmas Day feel more Xmasesy… I only like snow for Xmas Day, one day winter…. it can then go back to Spring/Summer seasons…lol????

    3. Looks like a nice Winter Wonderland happening there in London ON Jeannette! Hope you’re having a wonderful holiday time.

  18. I must confess that when I first read that this year’s advent calendar would involve “challenges”, I flashed back to grade school gym class and my inability to figure out how to climb a rope. (Still haven’t mastered that…) Fortunately these challenges required a very different source of strength, and one which we have all tapped into to climb to incredible heights this month.

Infinite thanks to team MLT for the time and effort they have put into designing and implementing this wonderful project. As a teacher I fully empathize with how you feel as you grade the papers and tally up the points, especially for items involving partial credit and judgment calls. My usual rule of thumb is one Christmas cookie for each score tabulated.

  19. I find myself unable to measure the value of the MLT Club, especially for this past year. The UK was home to some of the most stringent lockdowns anywhere, and yet the Club was blessed with so much   varied content throughout, from Hamburg to Advent. Sincere and deep thanks to Mona, Lisa, Rudi and Michaela, and my fellow club members. I wish all a fantastic 2021!

  20. Merry Christmas my friends.
I probably said this, but the live stream was awesome.
I really appreciate all the effort you must have put into it.
Thanks again for the music, you have no idea how much it has helped me through some bad days.
    Hugs my friends

  21. Merry Christmas to mona and Lisa and all your family hope you are having a great day and you got loads of presents as well????????❤️❤️

  22. Mona, Lisa, Michaela, and Rudi,
Thank You so much for such a wonderful Advent Calander this year. It was so very special. All the interacting was way beyond anything that could be anticipated. Your live stream was Magical. I think the Time that was set was perfect. And So many joined in. That was something Amazing.
Your first song All I Want Christmas To Be set the mood for the evening.
I got to watch the replay on my new Christmas gift. A 55″ TV. Wow it was so good.
Since Lisa was asked about Lampibampi, Mona What was TigerBaby doing?
Have a lovely Holiday Season to all of you
The snow is in North Georgia this Morning. About an hour from me

  23. Merry Christmas Everyone!

This is a beautiful picture. Your smiles are so contagious.

This has been a lot of fun. The live stream was a nice surprise. As I was watching the clock at work that afternoon, I was wondering if Team MLT was scrambling around the house double checking every last detail. ???? Congratulations, all of your efforts paid off. It was awesome.

FYI (to save a little Google time, cause this rabbit hole is deep)

Think of it as cats-kill. Kill is a Dutch word meaning creek or stream. There are a lot of them here. One is called Norman’s Kill. Lol

The Catskills were named by early Dutch settlers. They are well known in American society as the setting for films and works of art, including many 19th-century Hudson River School paintings, as well as for being a favored destination for vacationers from New York City in the mid-20th century.

While the meaning of the name (“cat creek” in Dutch) and the namer (early Dutch explorers) are settled matters, how and why the area is named “Catskills” is a mystery. Mountain lions (catamounts) were known to have been in the area when the Dutch arrived in the 17th century and may have been a reason for the name.

As I was enjoying the silence of Christmas morning with a cup of my favorite coffee in my favorite MLT cup, I noticed Tex had found a new “spot”.

    Merry Christmas Everybody!
    “Let’s hope it’s a good one”

  24. Merry Christmas to everyone, and may 2021 bring with it many blessings and positive changes! Many thanks to Mona and Lisa and their family and the team for making this past year very groovy indeed!

  25. Merry Christmas girls ! Thank you for this calendar and whole year of wonderful music and groovy feeling !

  26. Merry Christmas, indeed! I can’t tell you how much I’ve enjoyed your Advent calendar challenges and the way they encouraged us all to appreciate the world around us and to make a positive impact upon others! Your livestream was a huge highlight to my Christmas season! I only joined the MLT club about a month ago after first discovering your music on YouTube a couple months earlier, and have derived so much joy here since! God bless you and your family for the gift of your ???? and sharing your loving, inspiring spirits with the rest of us! Merry Christmas to all fellow club members and fans, everywhere! God bless us, every one!

  27. Merry Christmas Mona, Lisa, Rudi, & Michaela !!! I just joined this club in this last month, and I am so impressed with the time spent by the Wagner family to make this club special. The live stream was great. I love your music! I wish everyone in the MLT club a very Merry Christmas & Happy New Year !!!

  28. Merry Christmas Mona and Lisa and your family! It’s 5:42am in Albion New York and there’s just a small layer of snow on the ground. I’m up but everyone else is in bed. Soon we’ll start our Christmas Day. Me, my wife Cindy, my daughters Cheryl(25), Caroline (16). Later my daughter Becca(29) and her family will visit for a while. We saw my eldest daughter Rachel(32)and family on the 23rd. Just wanted to say “Thank You” for all you do for your fans. You’ve made this year brighter for us all. The Advent Calendar was absolutely awesome and I can’t tell you how cool it was to participate in your live feed! A Very Merry and Blessed Christmas to you all!

  29. Time to sign off.

Thank you Mona and Lisa (plus Rudi and Michaela as well of course) for giving us MLT Club members such a lovely build up to Christmas. In these rather dismal times having something to look forward to each day was/is ideal.

Enjoy your few days of rest, make it as long as you want as we have no right to demand of your time as you give so much to us all.

No white Christmas here, we rarely have one, but it is rather cold for the UK at only 4C 39F. I’ll need a scarf on my walk to my brother’s! One my walk yesterday I had a woolly hat with me in my pocket in case I needed it. When I got home I realised that it was no longer there. As it is about 30 years old, and has sentimental value, I decided to redo the walk to see if I could find it. Two thirds of the way round there it was on the pavement. So my Christmas has cheer already plus I had twice the exercise, a double whammy.

    Have a great day everyone.

  30. Merry Christmas to you Mona and Lisa, and Michaela and Rudolf. Hope your Christmas Eve was magical, and hope the rest of Christmas day will be warm and full of love. My Christmas now won’t be the same unless it is an MLT Christmas!
Here are some pictures of my Christmas Eve from a few hours ago where I am. Looks like I will finally have a white Christmas this year. Was such a peaceful walk feeling the magic of Christmas. Beautiful lights around my neighbourhood.

Dropped off my Christmas card with my dad at his care facility earlier today. Turned out all the residents there got their Covid vaccine shots today! What a nice Christmas present. I wish for all of us to get our covid vaccine shots in godspeed in the coming weeks and months to get the pandemic behind us.

    1. Hello Jung. Merry Christmas.

Glad to hear that your dad has received the vaccine. Hopefully you can rest a lot easier with regards him now.

I’m about to leave home to walk to my brother’s house for a reduced celebration. Hopefully we’ll have a Zoom session with our other brother.

Sorry, decided to add a bit rather than just a simple message.

Have a great day tomorrow (for you) today for me!

      1. Thank you I hoped that someone else would be online at the same time as me. Looks like someone else has just joined.

      2. Thanks again Philip. Hope you have a great time with your brothers. I will be doing the zoom and making calls later this afternoon to my siblings and friends. I have 2 older brothers living down in the USA.

    2. Great news about the vaccine, Jung! Looking forward to widespread distribution so we can all return to “normal”, which I think we’ve probably learned to appreciate more since we’ve lost so many simple things we used to take for granted. Be well!

      1. Thanks Jeffery. Hoping a smooth and quick roll out of the vaccines everywhere to everyone. In Canada on the news they are expecting around September 2021 time frame to have everyone vaccinated by. Hope you’re having a wonderful and peaceful Christmas.

      1. Thanks Jerry. Always loved going out to see the festive Christmas lights. They kind of remind me of the bright little gems right under our noses that are always there, we should stop and appreciate. Hope you’re having a wonderful Christmas!

      2. That is one thing I still sadly miss but do gave happy memories of, going around neighborhoods in the car, admiring the Xmas lights…

      3. What snow, !? It landed in Toronto area and bypassed Ottawa, we had a mild rainy green Xmas Day… Guess Snow and Ottawa didn’t get along?!..lol???? That’s fine by me, it was nice not to bundle up and trudge in it…..lol

      4. Jung,
Here’s hoping your Christmas was a good one buddy. Ours was a white one in the USA northeast coast. So me and Maddie are sled riding and sitting in front of the fireplace with Hot Chocolate!!!

      5. Hi Bill! Thanks, and hope your Christmas was wonderful. Sled riding and fireside Hot Chocolate with Maddie sounds like the Christmas magic couldn’t get any better! Give her an extra hug for all of us here! 🙂
