Day 1 – Kicking things off with the Grinch!

It’s December and we have gathered once more …

… to kick off the annual MLT Club Advent Calendar! We can’t believe it’s that time of the year again!

We are so excited to spend the month ahead with you all and to get back into the routine of filming a new video each day. Every day we will be watching a few of the videos/things you have been submitting and watch and discuss them together.

We start off with some music … the best way to ease into anything. ๐Ÿ™‚
Here’s the link to what we are watching today: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-cUz-zAATNI

We’re sure as the days progress, we will tweak our set up and approach a little bit. We already have a million things in mind after this first little test-run and will try to make this as interactive as we can.

Let’s all say “Hi” in the comments and make all the new members feel welcome! It’s great to see our MLT family grow every year. As much as we love seeing new faces here, we also look forward to hearing from our familiar long-time members. We just love this groovy community so much! ๐Ÿ™‚

We filmed this video last night and scheduled it to go live first thing in the morning. As soon as we get up and have some breakfast, we’ll jump in the comments with you!

Before you go, don’t forget to submit your own video/content by clicking the button below.

Big hugs,
Mona & Lisa

  1. Sorry Im late to the party!! Im definitely gonna have to check out Small Town Titans. That was the best version of Mr Grinch Ive ever head. Thanks for all you do girls!! Great start to the advent calendar!

    1. Thank you for sharing this video. Being a child of the1950’s provided me with a front row seat to the incredible events of the 1960’s. The musical soundtrack really wakes the Echoes for me! Stay groovy!!

  2. Wow, it just doesn’t seem possible that its December already and we get to start the Advent Calendar again! Welcome and Seasons Greetings to all MLT Clubmembers new and old (like me). Even the Grinch himself could not repress the joy MLT brings to the season each year! The Advent Calendar has become the most wonderful time of the year now for me. With a 7 hour time difference I better start getting on the computer before lunch if I’m gonna keep up with this gang. Let the festivities begin!

  3. Hello to everyone from Cleveland, Ohio and welcome to all the new members. This years Advent Calendar is off to a great start. With travel season over, I am looking forward to having time to really enjoy the MLT club and the daily videos.

  4. Hello and warm wishes from a very chilly North Central Alberta Canada. It’s a balmy -30c outside (20 below f) here right now. Yeah, this is my first Advent Calendar too and totally chuffed to be here!
I was overjoyed with the video release on FB today and I made mention just how wonderful it was in the comments there.
It’s the same me (my real name, I don’t use a screen title) but my avatar is me racing my motorcycle instead of using my guitars like on IG or here.
Anyhow, just wanted to drop a hello to the entire MLT crew and members alike. Keep warm and by all means stay Groovy!!!

  5. Nice job Ken! I loved it and will be passing it around. If Michaela’s next picks are as good we are in for a super advent!

A big “Welcome” to all the new members in the MLT Club.

  6. Well HELLO EVERYBODYโ€ฆI am looking forward to another Advent Calendar experienceโ€ฆ.for anybody that is new since the last AC get ready for some good fun and meeting other members and of course getting to be with our very own Fab Fourโ€ฆuh ..er..Fab Twoโ€ฆthat doesnโ€™t sound rightโ€ฆWAIT A MINUTE โ€ฆit is FAB FOURโ€ฆMona..Lisa..Papa Rudi..Michaela ..THE WAGNERSโ€ฆโค๏ธ๐Ÿงก

  7. Glad there are more new members every year! If this is your first Advent with MLT, you’re in for a great ride! All the best this season to all of my fellow members, and the Wagner clan!

  8. The best time of the year! I always look forward to seeing your smiling faces on Fridays, but now a whole month of smiles! I can’t think of a better way to start the day. The two of you are a joy to watch!

  9. HELLO Team MLT and Seasons Greetings to all MLT Clubbers…….sincere apologies for my absenteeism of late…..anyway…Small Town Titans…Wow..and…BOOM…what a great choice, agree with your comment on the 3 piece band full on sound thing…they have an incredible connection that is very unique….very much like yourselves…looking forward to Day 2 reveal…

  10. That was pretty darn cool! I like a few 3 piece bands. Bands like Triumph and ELP for instance are just awesome! I got to see Triumph 3 times in the 80’s when they played my home town. They really kick some serious butt!

Happy holidays to all you Wagners and everyone else here at the MLT Club!

  11. Hello Everyone and a big friendly welcome to all the new members of the Club.
I was not around last December, cause I joined the Club in January of this year and OMG what a fun & enjoyable year it has been.
I really enjoyed today’s video ladies. WOW! WOW! WOW! (yes, a triple wow).
Mona & Lisa, you both look great and so well rested (I hope you rested a bit after finishing the Why? album). Also, I do like the hair on both of you. Very nice.
For some reason, I never read any Grinch books, nor watched any of the cartoons or films, but this song by Small Town Titans was awesome. Great pick Michaela.
I think the line that M & L was trying to decipher was – “I wouldn’t touch you with a 39 1/2 foot pole”. (having the lyrics printed at the bottom of the screen was very helpful lol).
So long for now and looking forward to the next installment (or instalment in England).
    Cheers,
    Bobby S.

    1. Hi Bobby! Welcome to your first MLT Advent Calendar, thanks for being here!
We were trying to decipher what it said on the drummer’s shirt. “I’m A Paul Heyman Guy” … seems to be some wrestling reference, according to Google ๐Ÿ™‚
      See you in tomorrow’s video!

      1. Thanks Lisa for replying. I never heard of Paul Heyman lol. So I also just now looked him up.
I’m going to watch today’s (Fridays) video.
        Bobby

  12. Hello!
I’m so happy it’s December! Every year I look forward to the Advent Calendar. I always enjoy reading the comments and love how the MLT club has become a very cozy community.
I had not heard of this band, and their take on the song is great. What vocals! I agree that it’s amazing when a 3 piece band sounds so big!
I liked the Jim Carrey movie of the Grinch. It was very funny!
    Until tomorrow!
    Tomรกs

    1. Tomorrow’s video is already uploading … Guess whose video submission Michaela picked for day number two? ๐Ÿ˜‰

Thanks for joining the Advent Calendar fun again this year. We’re glad you enjoyed Day 1 already. I still can’t get over those vocals!

      Looking forward to tomorrow!

  13. Hello to new members!! I hope everyone loves being a member as much as I do. And, Happy Holidays…

Hi Lisa and Mona!! You both looked very nice today and Lisa, I love the hair cut… beautiful.

The video, Wow! Small Town Titans ROCK!! I hadn’t heard of them either, so I will also, definitely, have to check them out. All three members are awesome, but the main vocalist reminds me of Freddie Mercury. And, although a three piece band like Grand Funk Railroad, the music reminds me of Queen. I was just blown away. Great first video.
The Grinch was created by the author, Dr. Seuss.

    1. Dr. Seuss, that’s it! I’m glad you enjoyed the Small Town Titan’s version as much as we did. What a way to kick off the month! We’re looking forward to another fun Advent calendar together. Thanks for being here โ™ฅ

  14. Hi MLT and Clubbers;

Glad you are doing the Advent again this year!!! Not sure what to submit……but I will be following daily. Mike.

    1. Hi Michael, You can submit anything you find funny, inspiring, beautiful … it doesn’t even have to be a video but can also be photos, an article, song etc.
But of course you don’t have to submit anything at all. โ™ฅ

      1. Also…..on a prior correspondence………same song, different person. I was talking about Eva Cassidy and not Christine McVie. Still both great losses in music and so sad. Mike.

  15. Hello Mona and Lisa and MLT clubbers from Australia. Really been looking forward to my first experience of the advent calendar since joining a few months back. Didn’t hurt that WHY? was released during that time though ๐Ÿ™‚ That was a great start, can’t wait to see what the rest of the month brings.

    1. Thanks Alan, we hope you’ll enjoy your first Advent Calendar here โ™ฅ We filmed Day 2 today and the video is already uploading so we can post it tomorrow morning.

  16. Hi to everyone, especially the new members! I was new to the club last year about this time, and looked forward to the advent calendar every day. You are in for a treat! Welcome!

  17. Hi everyone, great video to kick off the advent calendar this year and canโ€™t wait to see whatโ€™s in store for MLT club members for the rest of the month

    1. We can’t wait either ๐Ÿ˜‰ Thanks for being here and for making us part of your Christmas routine. We just filmed tomorrows video!

  18. Greetings to all you MLT clubbers new and old from the great state of Oklahoma, America. I love your hair Lisa – long or not as long. The Dr. Seuss cartoon Grinch was part of an array of Christmas cartoons i.e. Frost the Snowman and Rudolf. Sadly, you don’t see them much any more. What would be cool would be to replace the original cartoon song with this heavy metal version. Anyway, I get good vibes from this years Advent calendar. Peace be to all you guys and gals. LuvYa Dubya (translation: Love You two times – an Okie saying from the 70s).

    1. Hi back to Oklahoma! โ€œRudolfโ€ was on a lot during the holidays but we donโ€™t have any recollection of ever catching the Grinch cartoon. Maybe it wasnโ€™t on the Austrian TV programmes or we just never saw it. Still, we enjoyed the song ๐Ÿ˜‰
We hope to deliver on the good vibes for this year’s festive season and are excited to have you along again!

    2. Hi Joe,
Yes those Christmas cartoons are classics. I can’t speak for Oklahoma, but here in NY they usually show Frosty the Snowman, Rudolf & others at least once in December on television.
When you said, Love You two times it reminded me of a song “Love Me Two Times” by Jim Morrison & the Doors. Take care,
      Bobby S.

  19. Hi ladies, it’s great to hear from you every day through to Christmas again, I joined MLT club just before last year’s Advent calendar. I just received another big bundle of your music and memorabilia including your new album which I look forward to listening to. I love the way you include and interact with your fan base. You both have lovely personalities and well as being talented musicians. Let’s all have another brilliant December together. xx

    1. Thank you so much Paul, we’re glad your parcel made it to you and thank you for supporting our journey that way! ๐Ÿ™‚
December is always a special time for us and we’ll try to make as much time as possible to hang out in the comments with everyone.

    1. Hi Mandy,
WELCOME to the MLT Club! ๐Ÿ™‚ We saw the email about you having grown up with our music and it made us so happy. Thanks for coming along on our adventures! โ™ฅ

      1. Thank you Mona! I think your MTL Club is the happiest place on earth! I’m so grateful to be here and I enjoy everything you and everyone else have to share

  20. MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone from Freeport, Illinois! BIG happy greetings to all returning members and HUGE welcomes to newbies! If this is your first Advent here, you’re in for a treat! I encourage you to click the links to the previous year’s calendar festivities. One of last year’s highlights was when we clubbers all posted one sentence at a time to co-write a fractured fairytale! Trust me; it ends happily ever after! A special Merry Christmas to Mona, Lisa, Rudolf, and Michaela! And many thanks for adding so much joy to another Christmas season! Blessings to all, Jeff O.

      1. Thanks for the link! That’ll really help new members to see some of the fun from last year. You’re very welcome for the Beatles Christmas album. I hope you all got a few grins and chuckles from some candid Beatles moments meant for just their fans to hear! I see today’s post is up already but I’m afraid I’m off to work ๐Ÿ™ before I get time to watch it. ๐Ÿ˜ป๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ’ž๐Ÿค˜

  21. Well Mona and Lisa, my first one since joining the MLT Club a few days ago. I can see that I am going to be spending a lot of time on my computer leading up to Christmas. You are very addictive with your smiling faces, energy and of course your music.

    1. Hi Michael!
Thanks for joining us here, we truly appreciate it! We’ll do our best to make your December as fun as possible. We have just finished editing tomorrow’s video and will upload it bright and early ๐Ÿ™‚ See you then!

  22. Hi Everone
Starting my 2nd Advent Calendar !
    Really excited !
I remember watching the Grinch cartoon as a kid, still fun to watch as an adult.
Lisa, maybe you can write a song about the Grinches’ change of โค๏ธ .

    1. Thanks for sticking with us for a full year! ๐Ÿ™‚ Mona didnโ€™t seem too fond of the Grinch song idea but maybe Iโ€™ll convince her haha! We’re very much looking forward to the different things we’ll get to watch together with you over the next few weeks and of course the live stream at the end! See you tomorrow!

  23. Hey there and thank you for this. What fun! Mona, I can so much imagine you doing a great job (and having fun) doing vocals for this song. Mona and Lisa, and probably Michaela, would you please post links to each video you watch as we go along? Hello to all, and welcome to the newbies.

    1. Hi Edward!
Good idea, I just added the link to the video and will remember to include them in the upcoming posts too. Itโ€™s a cool song โ€ฆ and we thought we considered all the Christmas songs when working on our Christmas album ๐Ÿ˜‰

  24. I just woke up, slept in after I weathered the storm getting to my medical appointments. I’m doing a patch test to see what’s causing my severe eczema for the next 5 days. I had to take the bus so I’m semi truckless. Lol I was so happy you picked my guilty pleasure every year I play it before Christmas. Kind of a Metal Version. You need to watch the Grinch cartoon. The music from that cartoon is clasic. I watch it every year since I was 7. I’m 64 now. Lol Thank you for picking one of mine. I submitted some out there music too. If you do not use my last submission, please listen to it. Very beautiful ballad from the third band I support. You, of course was the first band I try to support. I love you all. You made my day. And to the new club members, welcome! I really loved all the last year Advent Calendar projects and especially all the content you will get. My favorite of course, is the 23rd live stream. I really loved Song Bird with the intimate Duo Sessions style. It was released with the full studio version earlier. There is something always magical about the two of you together in the intimate setting. Worth every penny for me. I found another reactor friend now to me, that maybe checking you out soon. Still trying to get the word out. Love everyone in this community! Peace. Stay safe. God Speed. Stay Groovy!๐ŸŒนโค๏ธ๐Ÿค˜

    1. Hi Kenneth, thanks for the FAB submission. What a way to kick off the Advent Calendar, weโ€™re glad Michaela picked it! Weโ€™re sorry to hear about your eczema struggles and hope you find some relief soon โ™ฅ
We, too, are looking forward to the live stream. We still havenโ€™t decided what songs to play!
We wonโ€™t look at any of the submissions before the calendar is over but will make sure to check out the other songs you sent afterwards. Thanks for your support and kind words here โ™ฅ

  25. His heart grows 3 times its size when he learns the true meaning of Christmas! This is an interesting video. Love the hard rock version of this song.

  26. Hi, Mona and Lisa and all fellow club members. Great start of the new calendar. Small Town Titans seems to be pretty good hard rock band. The singerยดs lungs are phenomenal. just as Lisaยดs hair.

      1. Yes guys, I agree, love that hair.
Have any of you ever seen Crystal Gale’s hair? You know. Loretta Lynn’s sister.
Crystal had a huge hit with “Don’t It Make My Brown Eyes Blue”. A sweet tune.
        Bobby S.

  27. Hello, all! I’m an MLT club forum junkie, so I’m really looking forward to this season of copious discussion. Thank you, Mona and Lisa, for devising yet another fun way to hang out with you in December.

Here’s an interesting bit of trivia: the vocalist on the original version of this song, from the 1966 cartoon that several folks here have mentioned, was Thurl Ravenscroft, best known as the voice of Tony the Tiger, cartoon mascot for Frosted Flakes cereal. (“They’re grrrrreat!”)

    1. Yep. The music to the original cartoon is clasic. I grew up listening to Frosted Flakes commercials. I play the original cartoon. The black and white, I think 1943 version of the Christmas Carol, and It’s a Wonderful Life to start off my season. Lol I’m so old. ๐ŸŒนโค๏ธ๐Ÿค˜

      1. Ditto for me! This song was my favourite part of the Grinch show. And I watch the same two black and white oldies every year at this time. Oh, and Frosted Flakes was my favourite cereal, partly because of Tony the Tiger. Guess I’m old too!

    2. Hi David,
Thanks for that info on Tony the Tiger. I did not know that Ravenscroft did the voice.
I remember that Dallas McKennon was the original guy who did the voice of Tony, but then I guess Thuri took over at some point.
      Bobby S,

    3. That’s a great piece of trivia right there! I believe we had our own version of Tony the Tiger in the German ads but I have no idea who the speaker was.
I’m looking forward to seeing you around in the comment section these next few weeks!

  28. Well this type of music – not to me but so it is, you luckily have the choice for something else. Yuletide which I prefer to call X-mas is a period of ca. 30 days surrouding winter solstice. It was a time for hygge, good food and drinks with family and friends because nature was against working in the fields. So why not make the best of it eating the salted food with a lot of beer to and talking about the past year and what to do or remember to do in the new year. To me yule has more to do with this song I’ve chosen a romantic summersong filled with joy and happiness. James Blunt A former reconnaissanceofficer in the Life Guardsregiment of the British Army, made one of my favorite songs in 2010 which contains what I’m babling about: Try it. Stay the night https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x1yOGhnmYfI

    1. Hi Leif,
It’s been yeeears since I’ve heard this song! His debut album “Back To Bedlam” was played quite a lot in our household for a couple of years growing up.
I also love the idea of hygge, it’s such a nice concept and really sums up what I envision winter in Scandinavia to feel like.

  29. What a wonderful thing to look forward to for the next 23 days. Great way to kick-off the Advent Calendar. Your smiles are contagious and that was kick-butt version of You’re a Mean One Mr Grinch!!

    1. Yes, Michaela picked a great opener ๐Ÿ™‚ We just edited tomorrow’s video and it will be something completely different. We’re very curious about all the different things we’ll get to see throughout the month!

  30. Hi, โ€ฆ.a Christmas album from the 1960โ€™s that has had songs in many movies over the years. The album is on YouTube to hear for free is the album โ€œA Christmas Gift For Youโ€. I have a copy of the album on CD and Vinyl. Check it out ๐ŸŽถ

    1. I found it and just put it on! Kicks off with Darlene Love ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m not in an overly christmassy mood yet but this will surely help!

      1. Mona, there is a lot of music history in that Christmas album. I understand the Christmas mood. Christmas has 3 parts, the past, present, and future.
Itโ€™s pushing through the present Christmas that will become the future of a past Christmas. We cant make yesterday today, what we can do today is take an adventure in making new Christmas memories. Put the Christmas music on and the magic of Christmas comes.

  31. Hi hi! That was a great rendition. I’m so not ready for this. How did it get to be December already?!? It’s great that new people join us because of the advent calendar, but also that long-time friends that are lurking all year come out of the shadows and join the fun. Thanks ladies for starting off my December in such a groovy way!

    1. I know! I feel like we just did the previous advent calendar! Thanks for being here again, we’ll try to make this month as fun as possible โ™ฅ

    2. Yes it’s December. The years just seem to fly on by. It seems the older I get the faster the years go. Every year seems to go on faster than the one before it.
So let’s try to enjoy them as much as we can. And we are fortunate to have Mona, Lisa & family to provide great enjoyment to us every month and especially in December.
      Bobby S.

  32. A big HI to all the long standing members and of course to the wonderful Mona & Lisa and team, from a very happy Newbie. Just love everything about MLT. Looking forward to the next months videos. ๐ŸŽธ๐ŸŽค๐ŸŽน๐Ÿ˜Š

    1. Welcome David!! Thanks for joining us this year ๐Ÿ™‚ Hope you’ll enjoy the Christmas Season together with us.

  33. Merry Christmas, newbies! And welcome to the neighborhood, where these amazing ladies are frequently having us all over for little chats, music (their own and others’), and silliness. We all rate these as “must-go” events.

  34. Welcome to all the new club members, so nice to come along this wonderful journey! I love this advent calendar month, so many things each day to enjoy and this was a great start, good ole Grinch! Got to love it!! And hello to fellow club members! So looking forward to the live stream. Thanks for sharing Mona and Lisa!
Bill and Maddie Isenberg Huge fans from Pittsburgh PA USA

    1. Hi Bill, hi Maddie! We too are looking forward to another festive season together. I’m just waiting on Mona to finish getting ready to film tomorrow’s video. See you then!

  35. Welcome to all of the new members, and hello to everyone! That was a good video to start with. Good job Michaela! December is my favorite month because I get to hang out with Mona & Lisa every day. How cool is that? Happy Advent Calendar days everyone !!!

  36. Big Hi to Mona and Lisa at the start of an amazing Advent. Great rocking start with a wild groove to get us all started (although Grinch’s try to avoid Xmas I think) – and love Lisa’s Xmas jumper – the perfect colour for the season. Can’t wait for the next one!

    1. Big HI back to you, Allan! That was a rocking start indeed. We’re excited what video awaits us next. Thanks, I love a cozy winter jumper โ™ฅ

  37. Wow what a great video to start the advent calendar with. So far i could not find something to post for the calendar, this makes it even harder…..pfff
By the way you girls look fantastic again, and the studio is already dressed up great, compliments to Michaela for choosing this video..

    1. Thanks Eric โ™ฅ Itโ€™s okay, not everyone has to submit something of course! Looking forward to sharing tomorrowโ€™s video!

  38. A big hello to our new members! There is a great deal of good stuff in the MLT Club. You will enjoy!

Thank you Mona and Lisa for a fine beginning to this year’s Advent. It is going to be a fun month!

    1. Thanks Christopher, itโ€™s great to see both new and old โ€œfacesโ€ this year โ™ฅ Thanks for joining the Advent fun again!

      1. Whoo Hoo! ^-^

It’s a reply from the ever photogenic Mona of the MLT super musical group. My favorite. Merrry Christmas, MERRRRRY Christmas Mona (+Lisa too).

The MLT Club is the best ever!!!!!!

        Mike

  39. Hello Ladies,
I enjoyed watching your reactions to Mr. GRINCH. Great seeing you interact with the video. A few years back Ron Howard made a movie with Jim Carey as the Grinch. (A live action movie and very well done.
Looking forward to each day as always
    Happy Advent Ladies
    Rick

    1. The Jim Carrey movie was the first and only version of the Grinch we’ve ever seen but it’s been so many years that we don’t remember much! If we have the time we’ll try to squeeze in a re-watch before Christmas! ๐Ÿ™‚
Lovely to see you here, Rick!

  40. Hahaha…a real headbanging ditty …awesome! A great blast to get us off to a loud and ‘stinky Mr Grinch’ start to Christmas! LOL

    1. Glad you already enjoyed Day 1! ๐Ÿ™‚ We just finished cutting together tomorrowโ€™s video. See you then! โ™ฅ

  41. Hi and welcome one and all to the best club on the interwebs! We are all going to be so spoiled again! MLT video everyday topped off with a live stream. How groovy is that?
    Only in the MLT Club!
Thank you Team MLT for all the hard work and the love and dedication you so generously give to your fans. You are truly one of a kind team and have created a one of a kind club. So proud to be a member and help out the little that I can.
As always, wishing you only the best. ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. You’re too kind, we love doing the Advent Calendar! Without the people here the festive season wouldn’t be half as magical. Thanks for being here! ๐Ÿ™‚

  42. Hello everyone!, and a huge welcome to all the new members and a huge hug to all the long term members here also. It’s so great to be here for another Advent Calendar, wow, how quickly this year has gone by, and what an absolutely wonderful, rewarding and memorable 2022 it’s been here at the MLT Club with Mona and Lisa, Michaela and Rudolf, the new album and all the new songs and all the MLT love, and many personal triumphs too, and some sadness.

What a great Christmas rock video, loved seeing you both rock out to the music and rockier groove too. I remember as a kid loved seeing the old Dr Seuss Grinch stole Christmas cartoons “The Grinch and his loyal dog, Max, live a solitary existence inside a cave on Mount Crumpet…” There was also a hilarious Jim Carrey “How The Grinch Stole Christmas” film to recommend.

Thank you so much Mona and Lisa for all the joy you bring us through your music, and in so many other wonderful ways like this Advent Calendar, my window to the Christmas spirit these days! ๐ŸŽ„โœจ๐Ÿ•Š๐ŸŽถ๐ŸŽˆ๐Ÿ’›โค๐Ÿ˜Š

    1. I know! It seems like we’ve only just filmed last year’s Advent Calendar but at the same time so much has happened since! Thanks for joining us for another festive season, we’re so very much looking forward to the next few weeks.
Was your dog named after the Grinch’s dog?

      1. Hi Mona! Yeah my dog was Max too, so I can kind of relate to the Grinch some years back. ๐Ÿ˜ How time flies indeed, feels like last years Advent and live stream was just a very short while ago, but what an awesome year it’s been since. Your incredible album and all those amazing songs!!!!!!๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜Š

  43. YAY GRINCH! Welcome to all you groovy new MLT Club members! Youโ€™re in for a wonderful time! Yep, How The Grinch Stole Christmas, by Dr. Seuss. I remember watching the original cartoon version on TV in 1966. Narrated by Frankenstein himself, Boris Karloff. Many other movies have been made since then. Great video today! And may this Holiday Season be happy and blessed to all!

    1. We’ve never seen the cartoon! I just watched a couple of minutes on YouTube for the first time and it looks really sweet. See you in tomorrow’s video!

  44. Hi!!! Happy Advent Season! I really enjoyed this video, I like their rendition of this song better than the original and I loved watching you get into it.
One thing I do in Advent is each day, I check back to previous MLT Advent Calendarโ€™s and watch the videos for that day. I love doing this.
Lisa, you should give your hair cuttings as a giveaway! It looks like you still have enough for the Heide braids which is my favorite look.
I need to package up your gifts and send them off this week. I hope they get there before Christmas.
The Advent Calendar is the best part of my Christmas. I am pumped for the rest of the month!

    1. I just rewatched the original version of the Grinch song and agree, โ€œSmall Town Titanโ€โ€™s version has an edge on the original!

We enjoy trying different ideas for each year’s Advent Calendar and we love that you’re rewatching the old ones too. Last year’s was especially fun to film!

We’re looking forward to receiving our parcel, thank you already!!

You mentioned Heidi – we recently re-watched the whole cartoon series in a burst of nostalgia, haha! It’s such a cute series!

  45. Good day and welcome to all the new MLT Club members! (And hello again to the long time members.) This will be another very enjoyable Advent Calendar. I canโ€™t wait to see the variety of postings weโ€™ll get to see Mona and Lisa react to this time around. Maybe we should call this one โ€œDestination Surpriseโ€โ€ฆ๐Ÿ˜

  49. Hello from Utah. To the new members: Get ready for an amazing experience. Today is the first day of my retirement and the kickoff for the Advent Calendar. Not a bad way to start off the month!!

    1. Much love back to Utah! WOW, congrats on your first day of your retirement. That must be very exciting!! Really looking forward to this month โ™ฅ

    2. Hi Diana,
Congrats and best wishes on your retirement. Have fun and enjoy it. I’m sure that you deserve it.
My oldest brother, who attended the HS of Performing Arts & Julliard College, was a dancer. He spent part of a summer, many moons ago, doing Summer Stock in Utah.
I myself have never been there, but I hear it is beautiful..
Hope you have a great holiday season,
      Bobby S.

    3. Congratulation Diana on your retirement! I retired 4 years ago couldn’t be happier, including having enough time to follow MLT!!!
