  1. “Right-on, sister”

John’s response to Yoko’s lead-in “Male chauvinist pig engineer” to the politically histrionic song, Sisters O Sisters, on the politically histrionic album, Sometime in New York City.

Disclaimer: When I joined the Club, I bought myself a politician. Apart from the lyrics of the song Sisters O Sisters, the melody has nothing to do with politics.

  2. Hi everyone, while some parts of the world are having snow storms, parts of Australia are having floods. Our house on the River Murray (not our prime residence) is now in a vast ocean of water with the river flowing through It. It is about 40 C or 100 F approximately and the mosquitoes are in plague proportions. People are all safe and cared for so no hardships in our lucky country. I hope the rest of the world is as fortunate as we all are. Always interested how people are in the rest of the world and I hope you are all enjoying the Xmas break

  3. Merry Christmas, Mona, Lisa, Papa Rudi and Michaela! Thank you so much for this year’s Advent Calendar. It’s the first time in my life that I have ever been excited about an Advent Calendar. It was fun!

  4. The MonaLisa Twins have a Christmas album also, available in the Shop.

According to a December 25, 2022 article by writer Lee Thomas-Mason, he notes that Paul McCartney produced his own solo 1965 Christmas Album for the other 3 Beatles. Only 4 copies were made.

As it is that time of the year, it only seems right to bring out this little Paul McCartney gem. In 1965, McCartney recorded a Christmas album (of sorts) as a gift to his fellow Beatles bandmates John Lenno[n], George Harrison and Ringo Starr. Apparently, there were only three discs created, which have all since worn down into extinction.

For additional context, this is how author Richie Unterberger described the Christmas record in his book The Unreleased Beatles: Music and Film: “Unforgettable. For years, it had been reported that Paul McCartney recorded an album at home around Christmas 1965 specifically for the other Beatles. Supposedly, it included singing, acting, and sketches, and only three copies were pressed, one each for John, George, and Ringo.”

    The recording is 18m:33s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aOoHlpf6hBQ&t=2s

  5. #MLTBuzzLuvGroovified Merry Xmas To All..( it’s still December 25th for me in Canada so I can technically count it as being Xmas Day … Hope All had a Fab Time 🤘🎄👱‍♀️👩‍🦰

  6. Yesterday was brutal in my area.. blowing snow, freezing rain, snow storm… oh yes frikkin DeepFreeze teaser to boot….

  7. The MLTs release of Why? is chock full of melody.

I sense it will eventually rival even Orange, but I want to say that neither of these releases involves the one-hit wonder phenomenon. It is great to be a MLT fan at any point in your life when their music finds you.

  8. That’s a beautiful holiday photo. She ain’t heavy, she’s my Sister (thinking of the song by Allan Clarke & the Hollies).
I very much enjoyed the livestream, especially songs Mona & Lisa played and seeing all the club members who sent a greeting.

Hope everyone is enjoying the holidays.
    All my best always,
    Bobby S.

  9. Merry Christmas to the Wagner family and the members of the MLT club. Been watching some of the weather in North America, hope everyone is doing ok. I lived in New York for a few years so I know what some of those storms are like. Feeling very lucky to be in summer down under 🙂

  10. Merry Christmas Mona, Lisa and family.

I drove down to Devon today for Christmas lunch with my parents, playing your Christmas CD – great to get me into the Christmas groove!

  11. Hi Mona and Lisa, and the MLT Community. A very Merry Christmas to all with much love and peace. All my wonderful snow is washing away this morning. 🤨

Love that photo of you both with Lisa piggy backing Mona, and the beautiful Christmas card so much, thank you.

I watched the Livestream so many times, the surprise video and all the beautiful music you both performed is so magical. I hope you both and Michaela and Rudolf take in all the love, beauty, and peace of this season.

Sending much love from Canada to all.

  12. Merry Christmas Mona and Lisa! Yes, we have been hit, but we are all good. The snow plow service will probably do our driveway tomorrow (today is Christmas) and then I will go out to clear everything out.

We are good with supplies and stuff. Going to carve up a ham today. Deborah, myself, and especially Lady Jane Beagle, are safe and warm!

Get some rest and enjoy yourselves over the next week. Put away the guitars and the autograph pens…have fun and eat lots!!!

  13. Merry Christmas to all members and MLT team!

my area – Indiana – didn’t get hit to hard by the storms. Expecting 50 degree(f) weather by the end of the week.

  14. Merry Christmas, Team MLT, and thank you for once again making December truly the most wonderful time of the year! Be sure to take full advantage of these next few days where you don’t need to worry about entertaining anyone but each other. You’ve earned this R&R many times over.

Relative to most of the U.S., we got off pretty easy here in North Carolina. Clear skies throughout, and the temperature never dropped below -15 C . It’s actually supposed to get above freezing today, so I’m going to go for a walk on the one day of the year when I can casually cross four-lane roads and cut diagonally through strip mall parking lots as if I own the town.

  15. Merry Christmas Mona and Lisa and Pa Rudi and Michaela , we all love you and so blessed to share the month of December with you. Enjoy your day and get plenty of rest, you all deserve it!
Gld Bless and hugs and love

  16. Thank you for all the music for all you do! Truly a Blessing! Looking forward to a brand new year of music and new videos. The Weather here is a little better -4 F. right now and 1-3 inches of snow expected tonight in the Twin Cities. Have A Merry Christmas Everybody.

  17. Thank you very much, you are very generous, I had a wonderful time on the livestream.
Have a nice day with your family.

  18. The big storm stayed east of the Rockly Mountains, so we were spared, and it should be a nice day here. Merry Christmas and see you Friday!

  19. Merry Christmas Mona,Lisa,Papa Rudi, and Michaela, and to all of my fellow MLT Club members.May your day be filled with much LOVE,LAUGHTER,SPECIAL MEMORIES.
Right now here on Long Island it’s 17 degrees(feels like 6),up from 9 degrees(felt like -8) yesterday.Rewatched the livestream with my 2 beautiful nieces Caitlin & Erin(they think you girls are Cool)
    Wishing everyone a HAPPY,HEALTHY,GROOVY,DRAMA FREE 2023!!

I agree with Refugio,Love,Love,Love see those smiling faces!

  20. Merry Christmas to the Wagner family & all of MLT Club members! I agree with Jeff on the weather, bitter cold & windy and about 10 inches of snow. But, we never lost power, so we’re good.

  21. Thank you, dear Ladies! Mom and I thoroughly enjoyed the livestream and especially your song choices! Blackbird is a favorite in our home and we always chuckle when younger Lisa whacks younger Mona for saying “stay tuned” and then laughs at her “alligator” in the intro!
Definitely a white Christmas here. Last few days have been bitterly cold and veeeeery windy. We have ice on the INSIDE of our windows! Next week supposed to be unseasonably warm with several days of rain, so probably no snow left by Jan. 1st, but it’ll come back soon enough after!
MERRY CHRISTMAS to you, PapaRudi and Michaela, and to all club members and their families! God bless us, everyone!

  22. Thanks!!!! And Merry Christmas!!!! In my part of the US it is a balmy 6 degrees F. (-14 degrees C.) after being -4 degrees F (-20 degrees C.) yesterday. It should warm up from after today. I enjoyed the livestream very much and hope you will rest and take it easy for a while. But, not too long because I really like your music and conversation. Mike.

  23. Even Florida is getting a feel of the Winter Chill with temperatures near freezing. No White Christmas unless you count the frost we’re having. Enjoyed the Livestream although I had to leave early to join the family for Christmas Eve dinner. I missed out on the giveaway for the original art unfortunately. Merry Christmas to you and all your family and enjoy the downtime as I will do. Looking forward to 2023 and more fun and music at the MLT Club. So proud of how your careers are working out. No more starving artists days. Enjoy!!!

  24. hello Mona and Lisa, and how well you comment on these days of December if they were the best time of the year.

Every day they were pleased to share their time and their smiles with us.
I really love to see them smile.

Merry Christmas to the Wagner family and to all the community that makes up the best club

      1. Thank you very much Jeffery, I wish you the best for you and your family, and that the weather is not an impediment for you to enjoy these holidays with them.
