Nothing Is In Vain – Video Shoot – Photos

Nothing Is In Vain Pool Night Behind The Scenes

In 2013 we experimented with a lot of new things in terms of video production. The most out-there and challenging adventure, by far, was filming the video for “Nothing Is In Vain”. If you haven’t seen the making-of video and blog post about it yet, you can watch it here. You will also find the finished video at the bottom of the page there.

This photo archive post is dedicated to all the photographs taken during the various shoots we did for the video – from our underwater sessions at our grandparents’ house to trampoline shoots in our backyard.

  1. Love these stills from the video shoot.
By far my most 2 favorite are the 2 water impacts as you all hit the water. Very hard to accomplish at just the right moment.
If had a way to get out of the pool before your hair. Got wet, it would have saved you having to Wash, Dry, and Set it afterwards. ???❤

  2. It was very cool to see how you came up with those incredible video shots. So imaginative and so well thought out. I love the last minute addition of the fish which adds a bit of humor to it all. One of the things that impresses me most is how you always come up with the perfect videos for your original songs- that capture the essence of the creations.

  3. Some really great interesting and creative portrait shots of the both of you. You are both so adorably photogenic! And there is a good close up shot of your Framus 12 String that provided that interesting effect on the guitar lead-in to the song. Thanks for sharing these awesome behind the scenes photos.

  4. This is the video that really blew me away. Still does today. These pictures also underline the mastery of MonaLisa Twins. And proof that you don’t need a million dollar budget to make an out-of-this-world video. Well, I don’t really know what their budget was… maybe it was a million bucks? Looks like it though!

  5. Definitely a departure from your usual video productions, challenging but effective… You perfectly managed the capture the essences of “Nothing Is In Vain” in the finished result for the video…. Once again, you had thought of the best locations, props, etc to make it all possible… And kudos for jumping backwards into pool without injuries…. Whoa… Impressed with the entire concept and process of it all, Thankyou for sharing BTS pix….. You do detail to the core….. And it works ?
