Off To The Presses – Album Update

That’s it …

The audio files are sent off now and the CDs are getting pressed. There is nothing we can change now – what a terrifying but also liberating feeling! πŸ˜‰

In today’s video we’re just giving you a little update and announce the MLT Club pre-release date!

In the video we mention the Q&A question submission form, which you can find here.

After some very busy days we’re taking the rest of the day off so we can start brainstorming the next music video!

We hope everyone is feeling good!

Stay groovy,
Mona & Lisa

  1. Looking forward to next album. Try to think about nothing as you recuperate. It might be hard to do because I’m sure your mind is always thinking about next steps.

  2. Hi girls, I can feel what you are feeling now some days before releasing your new album. Several years ago I played Irish music in a band, and we did two albums of originals and cover songs. Every time before the presentation I nearly got a nervous breakdown. I wish you good luck and stay groovy. Love Frank

  3. Like everyone else in he Club, the anticipation is almost everwhelming!! This kinda feels like I did as a child just before Christmas. Obviously we know a few songs on the album but the chance to hear all the other new ones is simply exciting!!! Thanks for all the hard work the whole MLT team put into this!!!

  4. I can’t wait to feel the emotion just like when someone buys an album by a favorite band..I felt that emotion when I first heard Orange and I’m sure I’ll feel it again…good luck dear girls. Stay Groovy.

  5. Sorry of the redundancy of the last comment, I went to do an edit (forgot to include the word “years” and several paragraphs copied instead.

  6. Echoing James, this is the first original album in which I have been a MLT Club member. Needless to say, we are all looking forward to both the artwork/name reveal and the preorder date.

On a more personal note, I have to say “thank you” to you. Mona and Lisa, I began playing the guitar at ten years old but stopped playing several years ago. It was sort of a combination of putting away the toys of childhood and having a dog who didn’t appreciate good music. The dog who we have now (she has been with us for twelve years so I had no excuse) actually naps when I play.

To make a long story short, a few weeks ago I purchased a Fender Squire Affinity Telecaster and it has been so much fun. Watching and listening the two of you play inspired me to pick up the instrument again, especially the Duo Sessions.

Once again…”thank you” for instilling the making of music a part of my life again!

    1. Way to go Christopher. My audience usually consists of our two cats. They think I sound great. I keep kicking myself for not practicing more. Maybe I need a new effects pedal?

  7. Raining in the U.K.? NO WAY! πŸ˜‰
Congrats on sending off the music files! This will be a LONG 3 week wait for us now! Can’t wait to pre order! Hi to papa Rudi and Michaela!

  8. Ahhhhh, what a pleasure and relief it must be for you all to complete this long-awaited project. Congratulations! As a relatively recent member of the MLTClub (2 years this month!), I am finally be able experience the excitement of the pre-release of an original album. I’m a big fan of the β€˜Orange’ announcement video and can’t wait to see the new one for β€œMLT play MLT Volume 3”!

  9. β€œWe’re just knocked out. We heard about the sell out.
You gotta get an album out,
You owe it to the people. We’re so happy we can hardly count.”pf

Fantastic! You both look like you are dying to let the cat out of the bag and tell us everything. This is fun. We can’t wait to hear the new songs.

Get all the down time you can. As you expressed your relief of finishing the audio tracks, you laid out a busy few weeks ahead. A new video after you come up with an idea? No problem. Team MLT at it’s best. Can’t wait to see what you do next.

Your packaging and shipping departments are going to be busy, too. So be sure they are rested and ready. Hope you had a great weekend.

    Congratulations,

    Marlo & JP

  10. Fantastic news, I have been waiting for the new album, great to hear it is off and starting its journey to becoming real. Can hardly wait for the future reveals and the pre-order.

    Congratulations!

  11. Lisa shrugs it off almost apologetically that there’s not more to today’s video, but really is there anything more that we could want to hear?

  12. 3 weeks until pre-sale, so exciting!!! I can’t wait!
So it is raining for you, I feel your pain. My wife and I went to the beach for her vacation (I’m retired I’m always on vacation ????) and it was nice 2 days and since then, nothing but rain and rough surf. So we went and hit the antique shops.
I am also excited to see the new merch you are coming out with. I saved some of my vacation money so get a box ready with my address on it!

  13. Now we know the real difference between the twins: Mona uses the cup and Lisa drinks straight from the thermos!

    Also, the line of routes!

  14. Fantastic news! I’m really looking forward to the new album! At the very least, 50% of if is top notch! Hopefully the “supply chain” issues (at 1:45) improve and we also get a vinyl version.
The “rolling” term comes from the old film cameras ???? where the film would “roll” in spools. The director would say “Roll Camera” and the camera operator would reply “Rolling!” Film was expensive and didn’t last long before it ran out. Similarly there was a call for “Roll Sound” to which the tape operator would respond with “Speed!”, once the tape was rolling at the proper speed. It’s still done today even if it’s all digital and there’s no rolling or speeding. I’m such a nerd. ????
I’m also itching to see the Neve update, that’s such a lovely story.

  15. Mona & Lisa.
I’m very very happy for you !
All your hard work will pay dividends.
Cann’t wait for the pre orders .

  16. The “Summer Rain” spoiled your picnic, but the news was just as good from inside – I’ll be ready to make my preorder.

  17. First of all, there’s nothing in nature I’d rather see than my two amazing and beautiful favorites hanging in the studio – with a picnic no less!
I can’t imagine how challenging it must be to get the exact sounds for each song. That’s what amazed me the most about the GetBack documentary – in fact I think I read they did over fifty takes of GetBack and the takes on the rooftop were still different.
I’m very glad to wait for the new songs – it’s like waiting to see the presents on Christmas morning!
Thanks for thinking of us your fans so much.

  18. I’m excited to hear the songs we haven’t heard yet…to listen to each new song and see which one touches me the most…makes me listen to over and over again because I can’t get enough of it….Questionable had that effect on me because I believe…my opinion only…that β€œQuestionable” is lyrically and musically the greatest song you have ever written and β€œI Bought Myself a Politician” is right behind it…why..because in β€œreality” those two songs really have the pulse of the dating scene and the political scene ….and I just know …wink wink…that the new album title is LIFT OFF with Lisa having drawn a rocket ship???? with Captain Janitor Joe looking out the window while our favorite musical twins are straddled on the back of rocket waving to us as they leave Earth behind !!!….Hhhhmmm maybe an β€œanswer song” to David Bowie β€œStarman” is on the album…we will know when we see the β€œlittle green men” from Mars on the cover…..okay okay with a smile of silliness on my face I’m gonna go now and watch another episode of Star Trek.❀️????

  19. Howdy,
Great to hear all the good news. Yes, take the weekend off to relax and do some fun stuff.
I know the 3rd album was already given a name and I was trying to guess what it might be, but naturally its sort of impossible to guess.

Then I was thinking how about MLT lll (or 3) or Mona & Lisa 3.
The name of the Beatles’ 2nd album in the US was called “Beatles Second Album” and there are bands like Led Zeppelin who numbered their albums ll and then lll.
Also Chicago who I think numbered all their albums lol.

However, this is not your 3rd album, but it is the 3rd original album.
So how about “Third Time Is a Charm”?
I’m sorry guess I’m just in a silly mood.
And I was just thinking some groups use the title of one of their songs as the album title. Oh yeah, so maybe the title M&L chose is “Questionable” hahaha

    Have a fantastic weekend
    Love & Peace

  20. YAY!!! Just based on the six songs that we have already heard, this is going to be your greatest achievement yet! Something soooo good to look forward to! Yep. I’m ready!

  21. Great news and well done to you both for getting the album ready for production! Will be buying and sharing the news with others as soon as possible. Loved all the released songs so far, so can’t wait to listen to the remainder.

  22. Congratulations Mona & Lisa on finishing your 3rd original album! Looking forward to pre ordering on the 30th. Along with some other merchandise. I’m sure. Enjoy some time off.

  23. You can bet your “bipee” (as they used to say on Rowan and Martin’s “Laugh-in” TV show) that I am as excited as you are about the release of your 3rd original album!!! Congratulations!
I hope you reflect on all the enormous beauty and love you have created, nurtured and released into the world already in your young lives as you now take some time off. Enjoy!

    1. I remember as a little kid a great aunt was babysitting us. Odd in itself, but the thing that really blew our minds was when, as we watched Laugh In, she turned off the TV as soon as she saw the go-go dancers in their bikinis and body paint. I wonder what would’ve happened if she’d heard the word β€œbippee.” Scandalous stuff, that Rowan and Martin!

    2. Wow Stephen, you bring back memories. Yes and sometimes they said “You bet your sweet bippy” Haha I still say that phrase sometimes. I remember Lorne Michaels (from Saturday Night Live) was one of the writers and such talented actors like Goldie Hawn, Lily Tomlin, Ruth Buzzi, Judy Carne & Arte Johnson.
Thanks for the Memories (I know Bob Hope sang it lol) Take Care
      Bobby S.

  24. Mona and Lisa, way to go! You have to feel so good about this next album and all the work and love put into it. We know that this will be an amazing album and so worth waiting for. Like I mentioned in the past, so nice that you have chosen the path your on with your music and not being pushed into making music before its time with a huge record company. And putting music out there to just please the record company per say, we know that this album with be another step of your journey that we are all blessed to share with you both and it is very exciting for all of us to be a part of. Can’t wait for the pre sale and please promise us that you both will enjoy the day and relax and take in the time you have. We all love you both and support you.
    God Bless
Bill and Maddie Isenberg Huge fans from Pittsburgh PA USA

  25. Can’ wait to listen to your new originals . Do you plan to issue beneath the CD your new tracks also on Vinyl ? Please follow the trend – that would just be great. Especially your ‘Live at The Cavern’ on double Vinyl would be a real ‘seller’-trust me .
    Greetings from Vienna .

  26. Congratulations!!!

Lots of hard work (but a labor of love, no doubt)!

Take a break. Not just today, but for a few days!

Do something relaxing and you know what will happen? An idea for your next video will surface!

Can’t wait to see the cover artwork and to hear the revealing of the album title!

I started a thread under the “General Discussion” section of the website a while ago discussing possible album title names…perhaps one of us came close!

Thank you, Mona and Lisa, for all that you do!

  27. Great news that the album is now out of your hands, like releasing a bird into the wild! Means you don’t have to worry about it any more. Can’t wait to order my copy!

  28. Congratulations!!!!! I can’t wait. All of you worked your tails off on this one. Thanks for your hard work and Stay Groovy!!!

  29. That’s just awesome and exciting news Mona and Lisa! So looking forward to the new album, and will be fun to finally learn the name of the album and cover art in 2 weeks. I remember back in 2017 all the excitement around Orange and the Orange splash countdown to the album, and I’m so happy in anticipation of your 3rd original album now, it’s going to be great. Looking forward to the new video too. Exciting times ahead indeed.

Hope you both enjoy the day whatever you do, and sending much love from Canada! ????????????❀
