  1. The Orange Album was massively important to me, as Close To You, was the first song that brought me on this amazing journey and you lovely ladies and your fantastic music into my life. It’s so refreshing to come across someone as talented as you both, who are also such genuine decent people. No matter how rubbish my day has been, your music always puts a smile back on my face. I can honestly say that my life is better for the pure joy that you and your music bring into it. xx

  2. It was while watching Count To Me in a duo session (with a lot of emotion) that I wanted to listen to the orange version. As a result, I discovered the whole album which I really liked.

  3. I received the Orange album on the same day I had taken a trip back to my hometown ( a 4 hour trip) in which I listen to it for the first time. So now everytime I go back home I either think of that album or take it with me to listen to.

  4. orange has become a beautiful album. It always makes me happy and cheerful. My favorite song is Count on me, it is a cheerful melody, and like in real life, there is always someone you can count on in difficult times full of misery, who always supports you and helps you get over it.

  5. I liked the humor in That’s Life. Near the end, when the tv goes haywire, there was a cartoon of a cat with many arms playing many pianos. I remember seeing that as a child. I believe it was Krazy Kat, which influence Charles Schulz of Peanuts fame. The video of Still a Friend of Mine is outstanding.

  6. Orange was released about a year before I retired. I had been a long haul trucker the prior 10 years or so. I had come to despise the color orange over those ten years because all the construction zone signs, barriers and road cones were bright orange and every time I saw one I knew It was going to be trouble. When I received my Orange CD, orange went from my most disliked -to my very favorite color. And this is not an exaggeration. Whenever I see the color orange I think of MLT, and I can’t help but smile!

My unforgettable Orange memory is winning the hand-written lyrics of “That’s Life” signed by Mona and Lisa which I framed and hangs in my office.

  7. The first time I heard No more Worries Company, I pictured in my mind you guys signing it in setting like the old time radio broadcasts. Close to You brought to my mind the girl I had a crush on in grade school. I met her again when we were older, but the thrill was gone. And Sweet Lorraine reminded of a Hitchcock type movie. It is a fabulous album. I take it work and listen to it. Peace be.

  8. Hello Mona and Lisa, wow 6 years? My goodness where has the time gone. Well to me as you know Count on Me is my favorite off the Orange Album. But I have to say each and every song has meant something to me. I have a CD player in my car and I would listen to the entire album on my way home from work. But just love how you had John Sabastian on the album and the video of waiting on the waiter. To be honest? This album has been a savoir to me, it was during the early years 2016 thru 2020 that my life was in a wind whirl and this album has brought me peace and love and it helped me thru some of my darkest time thru those years. Thank you both so much for saving my sanity and soul and know that you both mean the world to me and Maddie. We love and send hugs from Pittsburgh PA USA

  9. I only bought Orange quite recently (download).
So the memories are recent too. 🙂
Most of all, I love the variety of styles along with the harmonies and clean, uncluttered mixing and mastering.
    The lines,
“Feel out of date in these peculiar times,
Feel out of touch with the world and it’s crimes.
But I’m still into something good,
    I’m in it for love.”
stand out for me. When I’m singing along at home or in the car, I sing that bit really loudly.
All good fun. Joy and seriousness all mixed together in such a way as not to allow reality to become overwhelming.
Love the whole thing and am very glad I bought it and to share it.

  10. “Once Upon A Time” has always been a favorite of mine. Great tune and fantastic video! I especially love the addition of John Sebastian and his blues harp, and the way you pay homage to him in the video. One of the truly legendary singer/songwriters/musicians of our time! I love all of your collaborations with him!

  11. Orange to me is a departure from how “When we’re together” sounded. I prefer that first album to be honest. I just love the vibe and sound of that first album more.

My favorite song on Orange is “That’s life”. I’ve must have played that song hundreds of times already! “No more worries company” is my second favorite.

It’s always great getting a new MLT album!

  12. I’ve played the Orange LP a lot since buying it last year. Such a great album. Love the coloured vinyl and the gatefold sleeve. I have a cousin from Liverpool named Lorraine who got married recently. I played her ‘Sweet Lorraine’ just before the wedding and she looked a bit guilty… Based on a true story? 🙂

  13. Here is a little interesting fun fact and something that ties Orange, Pet Sounds, and Sgt Peppers together, and one of the things that made me think of both albums when I heard Orange.

Both Pet Sounds and Sgt Peppers end on an obscure and interesting outro that leaves the listener thinking.

“In both cases, the outros are not just random sounds but deliberate artistic choices that contribute to the overall themes and creative intentions of the albums. They demonstrate the artists’ willingness to push the boundaries of conventional music and their desire to create a unique and immersive listening experience for their audience.”

Now consider the intro to Orange, that short “The Future” track. A similar artsitic thematic intro to the album.. Instead of an outro MLT went with an intro, how clever. “The Future,” suggests a forward-looking perspective. The intro is a collage of vocals that create a sense of complexity that might by symbolic of the complexity of human emotions and experiences explored throughout the album. This is just an example of the kind of artistry that went in the amazing album Orange.

“At the end of “Pet Sounds,” you hear the sound of a dog barking and a train approaching. This outro serves as a symbolic and sonic representation of the album’s themes and Brian Wilson’s creative vision. “Pet Sounds” is known for its intricate and unconventional arrangements, and it’s often seen as a departure from the traditional surf rock sound The Beach Boys were known for. The barking dog and train sounds suggest a sense of departure, transition, and movement. It’s as if the listener is being taken on a journey, leaving behind the past (represented by the dog) and moving forward into new and uncharted musical territory (represented by the train). It’s a subtle way of signaling the album’s departure from their earlier work and its embrace of more experimental and introspective themes.”

“At the end of “Sgt. Pepper’s,” you hear a collage of sound that includes indistinct chatter and laughter, followed by a sustained chord that gradually fades away. What’s unique about this outro is that it features a short segment of gibberish speech that, when played in reverse, reveals the phrase “We’ll f*** you like Superman.” This hidden message was included as part of the album’s playful and innovative approach. The Beatles, particularly John Lennon and George Harrison, were experimenting with various studio techniques and effects during the recording of “Sgt. Pepper’s.” The hidden message is an example of their willingness to incorporate unconventional elements and experimentation into their music. It adds a layer of intrigue and whimsy to the album, inviting listeners to engage with it on multiple levels and sparking discussions and theories.”

  14. My intro to Mona and Lisa was via The Last Time. Songs from Orange were being released individually around that time, and true to form, YouTube was happy to show me more. What caught my attention first about Orange were the lyrics. (The melodies quickly followed). But unlike the pablum that constitutes most pop songs these days, the lyrics are clever (No More Worries Company), funny (Sweet Lorraine), double entendres (Hey Waiter), heartfelt (Still A Friend Of Mine), and mature (That’s Life). Count On Me is top tier song writing, and should be covered by, I don’t know…who’s famous these days? I could go on, and on…..

  15. I was trying to figure out my favorite song on “Orange”. It’s a very hard decision because there are many great songs on the album. I think I will pick Count on me.

  16. “Orange” was my first proper meet with your original music because I didn´t own “When We´re Together” album (I still don´t have it, sorry). When mail brought my copy of “Orange” I put it into player immediately and was first very surprised of the big band sound of the first song. Then the music changed more familiar but I learned to like that first song too. My biggest favorite on the album is “Close To You” but all the songs are great. “Orange”sounds still fresh and good today but what is best you have been able to improve and expand your music during these six years and made the excellent “Why?. Stay groovy !

  17. my first mlt purchase was of orange and a cover cd combo. i obviously liked you or i would not have purchased the cd. but for some reason it was a month or two before i ever listened to orange. i don’t know why i waited. my favorites were still a friend of mine. lisa’s voice was perfect and close to you. i love the harmonies.
since then i never wait to listen to any of your music.

    thanks.

  18. Happy Anniversary Orange,
I do love all of the MonaLisa albums, but if I had to choose one, I would have to say that Orange might be my favorite one. Some of my favorite songs are Still A Friend of Mine, Count On Me, and Close To You and I noticed that these are very popular with many other members.
I am constantly trying to introduce relatives, friends, and acquaintances to Mona & Lisa and their music. And these are some of the songs that I play for them to hear, along with some Beatles’ covers.
I really, really enjoyed today’s video and the look back. Many Thanks.
    All My Best,
    Bobby S.

  19. This was the first album I had bought after the Christmas Album having absolutely loved the ‘What Christmas Means to Me’. Have watched the video a few times ‘You Tube’ started showing me other videos from you and the one that struck me the most was ‘Close to you’ which is still one of my favourites. Count on me and Still a Friend of Mine are great to. Still love you singing the Beatles though.

  20. My original favorites from Orange have always been Count On Me and Still A Friend Of Mine. Other songs from the album have grown on me – the album has certainly passed the test of time.

The song that means the most to events in my life is Count On Me. As a child I always knew my parents were there for me, and they had six kids to raise. I followed that “you can count on me” philosophy later with kids of my own. Their needs had to come first. It was difficult at times when their teenage years hit, but later the rewards came when they grew into the fine adults they are today. I have countless stories about those times and I’m sure there are lots of Wagner family stories about twins growing up.

It reminds me that Mona and Lisa will have a big decision to make one day, or perhaps they already have made it. Do you travel the world, having a full life doing what you want to do, or spend much of that freedom raising a family?

  21. What is a great memory for me is that The Orange Album showed your versatility and song writing capabilities. While you always do great work on your cover songs… Beatles, etc., this album showed much about you two. It has fun songs and songs that stir memories of life relationships and occurrences from my past. Thanks and Stay Groovy also.
    Tony

  22. For me 2017 was 6 year BmltC, i.e. 6 years before I was aware of the wonderful 60s style music being produced by the MLT – music that has bought the 60s back to life and makes us all feel young again.

My favourite song on Orange is ‘Once upon a Time’. The quality and creativity of the video is stunning. I love the way the song pays tribute to that very special period of time when there was a feeling of love and hope in the air. So many ground breaking albums were released and so many iconic musicians were either emerging or at their peak.- the planets were truly aligned. Best of all is that the song features John Sebastian who is also a focus of the video and gives a true connection with this magical ‘age of aquarius’.

2017 was also a very special year for me – the year my beautiful daughter Sofia was born ❤️. I’ve posted a photo of her strumming her ukulele along with Mona and Lisa playing ‘Tonight you belong to me’ – https://test4.monalisa-twins.com/members/richard-cook/photos/. She loves the ‘little old me’ bit at the end 🙂

Keep the golden-oldies and golden-newbies coming Mona and Lisa – we love your music and we love you ❤️.

  23. Favorite memory? Playing “No More Worries Company” for the first time while driving to the ballpark.

In fact, I still do it!

  24. An Orange memory that never leaves me is one day driving to work in the morning and Close To You came on, the heartstring pulling and longing for someone you miss emotions just made me cry as I drove. Lisa’s singing is so full of feeling along with Mona’s harmony, and the guitar so sweet, it’s one of the most beautiful and moving songs I know. The beauty of this song gets through the sad emotions and consoles me. Close To You is an amazing song. One of my top favourites on the album.

    1. Orange Road Trip Nicola Valley BC
This is the country a couple hours north of where I live, ranch/cattle country and semi arid desert, beautiful rolling hills and mountains.. Dug up an old road trip from 4 years ago, Orange was the sound track of that road trip I did with my friend, was so nice. Another fond Orange memory. I’ve put so many road miles on this album, Orange music is perfection on any road trip…In It For Love, Count On Me, Sweet Lorraine….music bliss!

  25. HEY, WOW!

I just found at least 28 “Behind the Scenes” videos that I’d never seen before, in-between my Guitar & Marimba practice! I don’t know how I missed them before, but I went right to the Lanzarote video & pictures. This is like finding a gold mine! I know what I’ll be watching during dinner tonight & for many days to come!

So many great pictures! But the one of Lisa & her long hair flowing over the couch; and a smiling Mona with the hood on her head — too beautiful for words! Thanks to the Wagner family for all the extra video footage & pictures! Tres, tres Excellente! — Bud

  26. Hiya again….Just thought I’d add some #MLTBUZZLUVGROOVIFIED Positivity Inspirational Vibe Energy here…. Eminate and Motivate 🫶✌️🤘🏻💯👱‍♀️👩‍🦰….Darn….can’t add a photo …. I’ll add in a separate post….hoping that will work

  27. I only discovered the MonaLisa Twins and became a member of MLT Club just a few months back. So my memories of the Orange album are still fresh.

Perhaps what struck me most, and still does, is the powerful simplicity and beauty of Still a Friend of Mine. I listened to it over and over and over again and was absolutely swept of by such a huge tide of emotion that had me pouring my heart out.

It’s rare to discover a new song that moves you to tears, but this song will always be remembered for that powerful moment of connection.

Thank you for all that you do to bring such wonderful music to life and share it with us.

Can’t wait for the big announcement – and hope that it’s a new album release date

  28. This is from a previous post about our favorite song, Count On Me.

Jung, you reminded me of the first time I “heard” Count On Me. I was driving home from work and as the song ended I was taken back to a time when Marlo and I were driving to her next doctor appointment. I think I posted about this before. About eleven years ago Marlo was stricken with breast cancer. Then it was a few years of surgeries, chemotherapy, hospital stays and doctor after doctor. We were on our way to her third appointment one day when she broke down and told me how glad she was to have me and my support. Sickness and health, right? I used to say,”Everything’s gonna be okay. We do what we gotta do.”
Ten years later I’m driving home from work and as Lisa and Mona sang Count On Me, it occurred to me that this song could be about us. I remember running in the house when I got home and turning on the stereo. Marlo and I held each other and swayed to the music. No tears, just big goofy smiles. She knew what I was feeling. She remembered that day in the car.
“It was the best of times; It was the worst of times”

This is my post from the Duo Sessions for Count On Me

This could be the one. Marlo and I felt an attachment to this song right away. The lyrics inspire hope, trust, support, and love. When this song comes on in the car our hands instinctively reach for each other. We think of it as “our song”As I glance over to give her a grin, she tells me to keep my eyes on the road.
This performance is almost to beautiful to describe. Thanks to MLT for bringing so much beauty and light to the world.

    Big hugs for you both,

    Marlo & JP

    1. JP…Inspiring , Thankyou for this Heartfelt posting/Reposting….
It’s just beyond comprehension of the Magnitude of understanding of what/how music can unleash Powers to Heal, Comfort, Inspire, etc in a Positivity Powerful way that overcomes any Negativity …. 🤘🏻☯️☮️💜💯

  29. I often get promotional Facebook ads popping up on my FB feed, but usually skip over them. I’d seen a few MLT ones and the promise of melodies and natural sounding guitars finally swayed me. I watched ‘That’s Life’ and I was immediately smitten. I fell instantly in love with the musicianship, the voices, the fun. I still listen to very little else. ‘Orange’ and ‘Why?’ are my two favourite albums, eclipsing Led Zeppelin, ELO, Jethro Tull… I do occasionally put other CDs on in my car, but they usually last only one play before Mona and Lisa shoulder them aside.

  30. My favourite memory of the album is the video that you posted, showing the process that you had to go through to make the album cover photos. All that careful plastic-sheet lining of the room, with taping to make sure the seams wouldn’t leak. Then in came the Twins … and then in came the orange dye … and the video ended with the latter being splashed upon the former.
Lots of effort, but the images were surely worth it. I do wonder, however, how much time and effort it took the pair of you to get yourselves cleaned up after such a messy photo shoot.

  31. When I first joined the MLT Club I looked up all the current albums and found Orange was the most recent album of original songs. Of course I was familiar with all the Beatles videos on YouTube but wanted to sample the ‘authentic Mona and Lisa’ behind all the cover songs to see how their own tunes would compare. When I first played Orange I really enjoyed it. You could hear many influences from classic bands and 60s/70s music but with a playful MLT style which matches the twins joyful outlook on life as exemplified by ‘It’s Alright’ and ‘That’s Life’. But of course there are also the more laid back songs such as ‘Count on Me’, another of my favourites. So many styles in one album!

  32. My favorite song, if that’s even possible to decide, is “No More Worries Company”. I like it because it pushes the boundaries of what we should expect. I love the fact that you can’t be classified as any certain style. Variety is the spice of life.

  33. My son Shaun ( a big Beatles fan) introduced me to your Beatles covers on YouTube, and because I raved over how good you were, he bought me your covers CD’s. This led me to delve into your original songs and I was absolutely blown away watching and listening to the classy video and song that is ‘Still a Friend of Mine’, and whilst I love the other songs on the album like the bluesy ‘Waiting for the waiter’ ‘Sweet Lorraine’ ‘Close to you’ and ‘Count on me’, I think that you two and the MLT family, no matter what happens – will ‘Still be a friend of mine’.

  34. “Still A Friend Of Mine” is my favorite from the album, It’s just such a beautiful song.
    The recap video was awesome!
After reading the 55 comments, I had to rewatch the video’s to see all the things mentioned that I don’t remember.
Like everyone else says , you bring all of us much joy.
    Thank You Wagner family

  35. I only discovered you beautiful ladies about a year ago so the orange album was already five years old…. Still a Friend of Mine is one of the most beautiful songs I’ve ever heard and of course the video magnifies that. And then I ran across the “making of” video that shows all the Barbie dolls that you used to plan the video. That blew my mind! How creative and ingenious…. probably my favorite song is the remake that you just came out with, In it for Love…. it is such a happy song and watching the smiles on both of your faces and your eyes…. You are totally enjoying that song. There’s a couple times where I think Lisa chuckles while she’s singing….you both become part of the music ….I’m out of words 🎶🤓

  36. There were so many fond moments with Orange. One that stand out is standing out in the cold in the early morning darkness at the train station, sometimes with the rain blowing sideways under my umbrella, and then turning on Orange through the headphones, and feeling all the anxiety of life fade away into a beautiful world of music and harmony. No More Worries Company sure felt so good to hear as it took away all the worry like a sigh of relief. By the time I got to the other end of the line and it was time to disembark from the train to go to work, I just wished the music wouldn’t end as the beautiful Still A Friend Of Mine would come to an end. I just wanted to press replay and stay with the beauty of Orange. It was like that for nearly 3 years as I took the train to work before covid.

I never experienced an album that is so rich, gave me so much introspection, happiness, longing passion of love for those I loved, rocking joyful fun, an emotional ride that kept me coming back for more. I once posted that Orange is a masterpiece up there with Pet Sounds and Sargent Peppers, but for me Orange is so much richer. An album to listen to for a life time and feel moved and wanting more every time, and now I have WHY, that takes it to another level!   🧡 ✨

  37. Mona & Lisa,

WOW, I love your video recap of 2017 and the Orange CD! I listened to the songs on the album, & I’d already heard everything on your videos but one song. (I don’t have this CD yet, but that’ll change soon!!) ALL your songs are winners!

I think that “Once Upon a Time” is My Favorite, but I love them all! it takes me back to the ’60’s; a much better time. I really love “No More Worries Company!” It’s a cool swingin’ tune that I’ll have to learn! I heard it in one of your videos & enjoyed it immediately! “Still a Friend of Mine” is beautiful, as is everything else!

Thanks again for the wonderful video, which I had not seen until this morning!

You ladies are a HIT MACHINE!! — Bud

  38. Other than enjoying the music itself, I would say popping the vinyl version on the turntable and putting on the headphones and turning the lights off and soaking in all the great melodies and harmonies that only my favorite twins can sing. The album is a huge leap from their first album When We’re Together both musically and production wise. It’s still my favorite album of theirs. I’m hoping we won’t have to wait 5 more years for their next album and that it won’t be inspired by a world wide pandemic and dealing with the over reach of the governments around the world. Let’s get back to some light hearted melodies and beautiful harmonies. Love these girls with all my heart and wish them all the success in the world. And at least 3 children each.

  39. Back in 2020 as the world was shutting down, I closed on the purchase of a little farmhouse out in the country, where I’d go on the weekends. Being isolated, out of cell or free TV range, I decided to set up a stereo system like the old days before I had neighbors feet away from my house. I found myself listening to the Orange CD over and over. Most of all, I would put “It’s All Right” on repeat, crank up the volume, and let its positivity fill the house and my psyche over and over for an hour or two. It lifted my spirits during the doldrums of the pandemic and really got me listening to MLT to the exclusion of all else, which led to me becoming a proper member of the MLT Club, solidifying my collection of MLT recordings and memorabilia, and becoming hooked on all things MLT.

  40. My favorite memory of Orange is viewing for the first time the video Sweet Lorraine. Mona is as cute as can be in it, and I love her kiss in it, plus the songs story is most entertaining.
My other favorite memory is Lisa singing Still a Friend Of Mine. One of her best vocal performances, the video’s beauty is its simplicity and its focus on her wonderful voice.
If by some wild chance I win, I will gladly take the letter and cherish it more than you can imagine. But you can give the rest of the prize to another recipient as I have almost all of the items already.
Since nobody spreads joy like you do, I got to at least pay it forward. But I’m greedy and want that letter❤️

    1. Hi Tim, yeah a hand written letter from Mona or Lisa would be pretty awesome. I’d keep it in my journal, and under my pillow when I sleep. HAHAHA. Good luck to you, and wish me luck too! Keeping fingers crossed, and the toes too!

  41. At the time of the release I was teaching a universities in the Boston area. So, I was always busy prepping for classes and driving from school to school. The first time I listened to Orange was in the car at night driving home from class for the day along the city streets in Boston. I remember hearing the songs and noticing the bright lights of the city. It was the end of the day and the music relaxed me as I enjoyed the drive home.

  42. There’s no song on ORANGE that I feel is anything less than brilliant. I can only say which song hits me more personally, and even then it’s hard to say.
“Count on Me” touched me deeply because not only it is the my favourite type of ‘style’ but I sat there trembling the first time I heard it thinking ‘what is this powerful magic I’m listening to?’
As a guitarist, “Club 27” blew my mind and I wanted to listen to it back to back non stop.
But I have similar memories with “Once Upon A Time”, “Still A Friend of Mine”, and … should I list the whole song list?
“Sweet Lorraine” has a personal twist for me.
I feel the album could have been released in 1967, 2017, or 2067, and still be timeless.
It’s a rare gem 💎, no doubt about it.

  43. It’s hard to think of the Orange album in terms of “memories”. It still feels like a fresh find, even though I first heard it over four years ago. But if I had to pick the most memorable song, I’d go with Sweet Lorraine. It provides companionship for Maxwell’s Silver Hammer in the very lonely genre of upbeat tunes about psycho killers.

  44. Close to you would be my favorite off this album. It gives me the feeling of the 60’s which when I grew up. I remember when families were closer to each other than it is today.

  45. “Orange” is the first MLT album I acquired; I put it into the player in my car and listened to it every evening on my commute home. It was about a 40-minute ride so I heard almost the entire album each night.

The first time though, I was moving along the highway, and then “Close To You” started, and as has happened multiple times, as soon as the first harmony came in my gut sank a little, it was so gorgeous. If I could recall how many times I repeated it that first playing I’d tell, but I don’t remember. It was a lot, though. I began my quest to find out who these two sisters were, and how they were able to make such a profound and positive impact on me. I haven’t nailed it down yet, and may never, but as they say the adventure is in the journey.  On to the next milestone!

  46. Orange was my gateway to all things MLT.

One of the first videos I watched when I discovered the MLT YouTube channel was “That’s Life”. I was amazed by the quality of both the video and the original song. Soon after, I found “Still A Friend of Mine”, “Once Upon a Time” and “Waiting For the Waiter”, then knew I needed to do two things: Join the MLT Club and buy this incredible album. I was very happy to see it in CD and Vinyl, so I got both! When I got them, I went into my rare “This album is the only thing I want to listen to. For a long time.” mode. I eventually played other music again, but it took a while.

  47. Orange is superb throughout. I agree with Gerry and Glenn. ‘Still a Friend of Mine’ means so much. It’s wonderful. We never knew or met him but if any one of us could express our thoughts this is it. Thank you for capturing a feeling

  48. From the Get-Go…The Creative Freshly Squeezed Music Juices That Flowed from this Particular #MLTBUZZLUVGROOVIFIED Orange , offering many slices of utmost tastes that each burst with their own unique flavorings ….I Luv All songs but I will say….Club 27/Count On Me/Once Upon A Time Strongly resonates with/to me and I gravitate to them most when listening/dancing/singing/air-guitaring & air-drumming….Happy 6th Birthday to Orange Album 💜🧡🎂🎉🎊💎🤘🏻

  49. The Orange Album is a remarkable collection of wonderful music. The album artwork is outrageous and somewhat disturbing 🙂 But that is to be expected from Gemini. The album will someday be in a hall of fame. Time will show.
    For me………..
    “Never in line
    Pearls before swine
    Still a friend of mine”

The MonaLisa Twins will always be mine.
Much Love and “Real” Hugs from the Great State of Texas.

  50. Orange is just a fantastic album. Every song is just great. The one song that sticks in my mind is “Still a Friend of Mine”. Such a beautiful song. I have played it and watched the video so many times. Thanks again for all the great music.

  51. My most outstanding memory was how profoundly “Still a Friend of Mine” hit me. I had chills running down my spine and tears running down my face. It remains one of the most beautiful songs I’ve ever heard

  52. My first thought on seeing the ‘Orange’ cover was “what is that gloopy liquid”? After 6 years, it seems not to have been that poisonous and probably washed off fairly readily. My concerns for your welfare were callously forgotten when I starting listening to the great music.

  53. My favorite Orange related memory was hearing the Close To You song for the first time, on Amazon preview feature a few days before official release. I downloaded the entire recording and put in an order for the vinyl on the MLT website.

But aside from that unofficial pre-hearing episode, I was tickled to hear the Revolution#9 style sound collage to kick off the Orange recording. This was something I felt Lisa would be strong in creating anew something like the old instrumental tracks you’d hear back in those days. Usually, there was an instrumental only on Side A and Side B on various classic rock ‘n’ roll albums. The opening track to Orange sort of did that for me.

On this subject, let me say that I was really happy with how the vinyl edition of Orange was when I received it. It’s weighty feel and the unique to each pressing (I think) cream color with orange vinyl reminded me exactly how orange dreamsickles used to look when I’d buy these off the ice cream truck came around on Saturdays.

      1. Thanks, Dennis.

I learned actor David McCallum died last week. As you know, he played the character Gwilym brilliantly, a laboratory specimen who is transformed by the machine in that particular The Outer Limits episode, titled The Sixth Finger.

  54. Once upon a time, I found my favourite band, and discovered their sweet Orange album. It’s better than alright, and made me feel close to you. No idea what the future holds – that’s life – but you can count on me. No worries, and no waiting – I’m in it for love, and still a friend of yours.

Orange was my favourite album when I decided to join the Club, and a big reason why I joined. Every song on it is wonderful, I could never pick a favorite.

I’m not going to tell my daughter about Club 27 until December, when she turns 28. Thanks!

  55. Wow! “Orange!” I love all of your albums, especially the three originals. But, “Orange” is my favorite album.
And, my favorite memory is that when “Orange” first came out, I sent a text message to one of my sister-in-laws that lives Raleigh, NC, and asked her if she had heard the album, and in particular the song: “Sweet Lorraine.”
She said that she had, and she loved “Sweet Lorraine!” Her name is “Lorraine.”
It’s a great song. I love the music and the song is very clever. I love the lyrics, too. The music compliments the lyrics perfectly. One of my favorites!
But, I love all of the songs! My top three would probably be:
    Sweet Lorraine
    Close To You
Still A Friend Of Mine/Count On Me
    No More Worries Company

Sorry, I got carried away… just call it my top five.
    GREAT ALBUM 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❗️💛❤️😊

  56. Orange (and all your other music) has helped me get through many bad days.
Really loved the collaborations with John Sebastion on that album.
Thank you for the music my friends!

  57. I think what I remember most about Orange is the journey of discovery of all the behind-the-scenes videos when I joined the MLT Club in October 2019. I had only been listening to Orange for about a month at that point and having access to all the supporting video, really enhanced the discovery of the album.

  58. I had been listening to MLT’s Beatles covers for a while, then “That’s Life” showed up in my feed. I fell in love with the song instantly, and put it on my Christmas list. My sister got the album for me that year, and it’s been on rotation in my playlist since. I love all the songs on there, they’re gems!

  59. Hi – I’d watched a couple of excellent YouTube MLT videos and shared them with friends and family. As a twin too, I was bound to take an interest!

So I bought “Orange” on CD and became a confirmed fan – I also bought CDs to give as presents, it being my duty to convert others to the MLT sounds.

But I missed out on the lovely orange vinyl edition, even though I’ve been buying records since my teenage years (er, 50 years ago now). I have also kept all my vinyl records through the years and still buy them too – also doing a bit of “senior” DJ work!
.So I would really love to add a 12″ orange “Orange” to my collection, so I can show off and platy it at our club’s vinyl sessions. You girls are fab!

  60. I first heard the Orange album after I bought the entire MLT CD collection a couple of months ago so there hasn’t been time for many memories yet! One thought, though…When I saw the song title “Close To You” I was expecting a Carpenters/Burt Bacharach cover tune. Of course I realized it wasn’t as soon as it started playing, but your song instantly appealed to me and now it has become one of those songs that plays in my head throughout the day! “Close To You” is now “close to me”! I’m sure this song will give me future memories of this time in my life (maybe a song idea here?) Thank you both for your fun songs that brighten my days.

  61. I was already a member of your club, if I bought Orange.
The whole CD is fantastic, but my two favorites are ‘ Close To You ‘ and ‘ Club 27 ‘
B.t.w. I have all of your recordings and I like it.

  62. Orange an absolutely great album.
Sweet Lorraine one of my favorites.
Still a Friend of Mine. Lisa I feel your voice actually reaches out and grabs me.

The album cover with you girls covered in the Orange paint was just so cool 😎 !

  63. Hello Ladies!
What a fun surprise post today!
I remember hearing Sweet Lorraine the first time and wishing a video would be in the works. Well , I got my wish in a Duo Session. Monas kiss knocked my socks off and pushed me over the edge! What an incredible video!
The whole Orange album is on my play list in my car. Only MLT music in my car. Beep Beep M’ Beep Beep YEAH!

    1. Hi Rick, the first time I seen the Sweet Lorraine video I almost kissed the screen, Lol. Still one of my favorite moments in an MLT video, that and Lisa’s eye brow flutter in the Bus Stop video both melt my heart.

  64. I loved watching that recap. For sure a pivotal year for your music. You went from 60’s covers and 60’s inspired originals to the “MonaLisa Twins” sound. Such a wide variety of sounds, melodies, lyrics and instruments that carries over and expands on the Why? album. I bought all of your Cd’s in a short amount of time and actually got the Orange and Why? cd’s at the same time. While everyone was listening to and talking about Why?, I kept listening to Orange, It was so good. The end of the recap gave me tears. When I first listened to Orange and the last track played, I was thinking to myself, I’ve been listening to music for more than 60 years and finally came to the best song I’ve ever heard. I think it’s the first masterpiece created and played by someone named for a masterpiece. Thank you for the Orange album, and all the music.

  65. What a treat to go back in time and relive your 2017! It brought a huge smile to my face and altered my mood for the better – thank you. Each song on Orange is amazing – like dearly loved children, I could never pick a favourite. I love them all uniquely. My fist encounter with any of the songs from Orange was when I happened upon “Still a Friend of Mine” on YouTube. It took my breath away. both because of the very moving and beautiful music but also the thoughtful lyrics. I never tire of listening to it. But, as I came to know the other songs on the album, I can truthfully say the same for all of them! The album is one of my treasures.

  66. The Orange album is part of the reason I joined the MLT Club! My favorite memory from the Orange album is the video of “Sweet Lorraine”. I love the vocals 🎤 and when Mona says “sealed with a kiss” and kisses 💋 at the mic! I also love Lisa’s guitar 🎸 fills! I have watched this video many many times. But, after I purchased the Orange CD, I found that I loved all of the songs on it. I also am very fond of my “Orange” T-shirt and I actually put it on this morning and I am wearing it now. I would love to have a vinyl copy!
    HAPPY 6th ANNIVERSARY 🎈 🎉 🎸 🎤 “ORANGE”! 💋 💖

  67. As I’ve mentioned, I discovered the MonaLisa Twins in 2022 after my father passed away. Soon after I joined the MLT Club and got my cd bundle. I had heard many of your covers – but I wanted to hear your original material, so Orange is the first album I listened to. So, my greatest Orange memory is the pleasant surprise of hearing new songs in the style of the Greatest Era of Music!

Who knows, you may hear some new original sounds (of the style/era) from me…. Stay tuned!

    Love to all the Wagners!
    Patrick

  68. I first started following you before Orange was actually available, but too late to get in on the autographed pre-order deal. I placed the order for it on colored vinyl and asked if I could get an autographed copy. I got a quick response that you would be happy to autograph one for me if I didn’t mind waiting a few days for you to be available to do so…. which I was more than happy to do. It is one of my more cherished vinyl possessions to this day. I had it proudly on display in my old house before we moved (I included a picture of it with my review). It currently resides on shelf in my home office, where it’s orange colored spine make it one of a relative handful (out of approx. 16″ worth of albums) that I can readily identify from across the room. 🙂

  69. I loved, “Orange”! So many great songs. My favorite song on the album is, “Sweet Lorraine”. Happy Birthday to Orange!

  70. Good music touches the soul and yours certainly does that. I so love your original music even more than your great covers. However on the Orange album I can’t decide between Club 27 or Waiting for the waiter as my favourite between the two. So very different but equally brilliant. But the video for Waiter is also one of my favourite videos you have done. So I guess in that case it’s got to be Waiter, but errr Club 27 is just so good, damn I can’t decide. Just well done and thank you for giving us such great music.

  71. I remember listening to it when soon as you released it and just groovin’ and enjoying the wonderful mew music. Then Still a Friend of Mine started. I sat there totally mesmerized and frozen in place as the tears welled up from the beauty of this song. I just kept replaying it over and over…
Have the song playing in the background as I type this and thinking back to the memories of the feelings it brought have the tears welling up again. Just so beautiful.
Thank you so much MLT for the beautiful feelings you evoke and for the smiles you bring to us. You are the sunshine that brightens the day! 🙂

  72. I thoroughly enjoyed that reminiscing video….i do have a question…are there going to be anymore magnets…I give those away to people who seem to be interested in 60s and Beatles music….HAPPY BIRTHDAY ORANGE 🍊 🧡

  73. While finishing the night’s worth of paperwork at work, I play Orange and I love all the songs but the one I find myself tapping my feet too is Club 27. it’s such a good song and I also love the video. hugs

  74. Orange not only one of my favourite colours it also happens to be one of my favourite albums so much I have two copies one for the home & one for the car. My favourite track is No More Worries Company. As I have no more worries I’m a fully pledged signed up member to the Company

  75. When I heard Orange for the first time – a whole new world opened up. I simply love that record. Your music is a regular part of our everyday life. So thank you very much🤩🤩

  76. Most of the time when I listen to Orange I listen to the complete album. 2 songs of Orange are in my overall play list
    1)     No more worries company – funny song
    2)     Club 27 – great music (and a great video, is it not Lisa?)
I try to promote your music by playing your music e.g. in the car with friends. It seems they always like it, or maybe they are afraid to say they do not. Not sure if they listen it again, but for sure they will when they drive with me again.

  77. Wow such fond memories just watching the 2017 video. I remember I discovered Social Media because of you. I joined Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter just so I could follow you both on your amazing music journey. I remember when you guys went to Glastonbury as i saw a real time Instagram message pop up that you guys arrived in Glastonbury. Hard to believe 6 years already. Will go down memory lane to pick some special Orange moments to post, there were so many! Have a fabulous week! 🧡

    1. Jung, one of my special moments was when I received my vinyl copy of Orange, I felt just like Lisa does on the recap video when she pulls the record out of the sleeve. I was just awed at how beautiful it was, I had no words but “Wow”. I have never played the vinyl and never will, it is a piece of art to me.

      1. Hi Tim, that vinyl is amazing, those rich hues of orange and white, and l love that each one is a unique pattern, making each album very unique. We are lucky to have snatched them up while they were available.

  78. I recently went to the races at Milwaukee, Wisconsin, wearing my ‘Orange’ shirt and hat. The young lady taking tickets enthusiastically said “I love your shirt!” I couldn’t pause long, but shared a brief bio of you and encouraged her to check you out on YouTube. I hope she did!

    1. Yeah boy I do the same thing and up until I ran out of magnets I would carry in my pocket and give it away to someone who seemed to like 60s and Beatles music…you see the magnet is a constant reminder to check out MLT on YouTube .

  79. My late father suffered from dementia in his later years. He often awoke in the morning, doubting he was home. Each morning, while I fixed the folks breakfast, I’d always have MLT music playing either by Bluetooth jukebox or CD in the kitchen. It never failed that, upon hearing your familiar music, he’d pause and say “I’ll be…I am home.” “Count on Me” was his favorite and still is mine. It’s message perfectly represents his and my relationship. I insisted it was played at the visitation before his funeral in June 2022. I can’t express better than that how much MLT music and the people behind it mean(s) to me and my family.

    1. That sounds great, Jeff. Your Dad was very lucky to have you to care for him. I love that hearing MLT assured him he was home. That is awesome. Count On Me is amazing song, another timeless masterpiece.
