Video Of Our 1st Cavern Club Gig! – Live Video

A few weeks ago we shared some photos of our first ever performance at the Cavern Club with you … well, we found video footage of that day too! Filmed on the 19th of May 2014.

We get the biggest grin on our faces looking back on this. We were so in awe of that stage during the whole performance and had no idea that we would soon play there on a weekly basis. In the video you can hear us play our original “One More Time” and the very end of “Long Tall Sally”. Both songs would become staples for most of our band performances to follow as they fit the venue perfectly.

Also, we want to give a little shout-out to the Soundcasters, a band from Kent that got us in touch with the organizers that set up this first performance. They do a mean version of Louis Prima’s Just A Gigolo!

We hope you all are gonna have some fun tonight, everything’s alright! 😀

Stay groovy,
Mona & Lisa

  1. I would have been so intimidated there……..even though it is a different location from the original. But, you two did so very well. Did you close (excluding encore) with Long Tall Sally just like the Beatles often did in early live shows?? Again you two are something special musically. Mike.

  2. Wow! What a night that must have been. Everyone was “having some fun tonight” that night. I am so thankful I was able to see you play the most famous club in the world, the Cavern Club, before you moved on to other projects. What a night full of great memories. THANK YOU!! Love the video clip and pictures. You are amazingly GROOVY!!

  3. Mona and Lisa – you have such amazing stage presence and you are such great live players. The energy is fantastic and your band mates are spot on too. Reminds me of the Beatles’ video of “Some Other Guy”
Cavern was very lucky to have you regularly perform there – wish I could have been there!

  4. That must have been so exciting walking down into the Cavern to perform for the first time. And it looks like you nailed the performance in the Cavern right from the start, as you both, with Phillip Wolf on drums, sounded so tight together, and I can see the crowd approve! Thanks for this!

  5. Awesomely Groovy to the Max… Just loved watching this… Definitely sensing the live gig vibe riccocheting and reverberating all over the Cavern…. Wow, what a night for all there to remember, how you all were in utter awe of the whole evening, and from that night to turn into around 100 shows later, not one gig the same, maybe a few staple songs but each gig would of offered up its own live vibe and energy…. Kudos on this performance, glad it was filmed and you unearthed it from whence it was stored for all to enjoy, Thankyou indeed ?

  6. Great to see this. Just a short time before I discovered you on YouTube! I have some footage somewhere that I recorded during your first Saturday performance – a quiet, lunchtime acoustic set after being on the radio with Billy Butler. Little did we know that it would soon turn into a regular, much less quiet Saturday evening spot! 😉

  7. Do you have footage of the entire concert, or just these few clips? I’d like to see the whole thing, if you wouldn’t mind posting it.
