Ask Us Questions For Our 1st Anniversary – Q&A Prompt

New Album Announcement …

The 1-year anniversary of this groovy little corner on the internet is approaching fast, and we can soon sing “Happy 1st Birthday” to our MLT Club! We feel like proud parents!

Which makes you the children? No … the godparents? Or the relatives that are heavily involved in the child’s life and take them out for ice cream every Tuesday and Friday? We haven’t really thought that analogy through, but we guess what we want to say is, that many of you here today have joined us throughout the year and watched the Club grow and evolve 😉

Now it’s time to plan the upcoming Birthday, and one of the things we have planned for, is to film a little video in which we will answer your questions directly on camera.

We will read through all the comments underneath this post and will try to get through as many of them as we can. The questions can be serious or silly, involve the Club, our music and releases or just be things you’d like to know about us. Feel free to ask outside the box 🙂

If you have any specific questions that require a very in-depth reply we still recommend the “Ask MLT” Forum as we usually take the time to reply in more detail there. For the Club Birthday video we hope to get back to as many of you as we can while keeping the video at a reasonable length 😉

But just ask away, don’t hesitate and ask away, we’ll figure out the rest!

Stay groovy and we you’ll hear (and see!) from us soon,

Mona & Lisa

  1. Hi. So happy to be a part of this! My question is this: Do you play all of the instruments on your original music, or does your live band or dad Rudi play on the tracks too?

  2. Hi Dear Girls . My question is simple ” About gigs .. is there any hope to see you up close on a stage yet ? ” .. Is My Dream !

  3. Dear Rudolf, Michaela, Lisa and Mona,
Thank you for all you have done and continue to do.
Won‘t you listen now, what a difference it makes, when it seems like I’m doomed, your music takes the rain away. I’ll never be the same.
You know sometimes I struggle, that’s life, that’s what you get, you better not bet that it’s always coming up roses. Sometimes, I need to take the sorrows off my chest, but no, I can’t complain. It’s alright, it’s okay, I look at what the Wagner family does and it inspires me to do more and do it better. If there’s a will there is a way.
Personally, I’m out of fashion, I’m out of style, I’m out of my mind, I’d say almost a mile, But I’m still into something good, I’m in it for love. But I’m not the only one.
One Year into the Club shows that the good things DO last.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
    Tomás

    1. Agree Tomas. While we are all here at the MLT club because we love everything you do team MLT, and want to help support your music creation journey, the joy with which you have touched every one of us here is ten fold greater. We could never thank you enough for that. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, and yay to the 1 year birthday of the club to be upon us soon.

  4. With “Christmas” and Christmas on the way our wishes for a little tranquility and peace on this flying rock are renewed. That being said, what, with props to reckless abandon and avarice, do you really really want for Christmas?

  5. I can understand why you would not want to share specific information publicly, but in general; has the growth of the MLT Club over the past year met your initial expectations, or been less or more than expected?
Again in general terms; how do you see your business model going forward with respect to the proportion of revenues coming from different activities such as: 1) touring and performing live, 2) studio albums, 3) YouTube and internet related revenues, 4) donations, 5) other activities that may be significant?
Finally, please never underestimate just how much your fans truly love you!!!

  6. This is a very trite question, but… notwithstanding the fact that “no one can clearly foresee the future”, where do you see yourselves in ten years?

  7. 1. This probably exists somewhere but is there a list of the voices used in “The Future” track on ORANGE, the greatest CD to come out this century? I can identify a few, but others are a mystery.

    2. Do you like to read? If so, do you have any favorite novels or writers?

    3. In addition to sharing your incredible music on social media, and playing/gifting your CDs and videos to friends, is there else anything we, your loyal fans, can do to help promote you — particularly here in the USA?

  8. John??? Paul??? George??? or Ringo???

I would never ask you your favorite. But, when you perform or first performed Beatles songs is there one you relate to most or picture yourself as. Like when you are both playing or singing at the Cavern Club. Maybe according to the song or instrument you are playing at the time?

I know it soon became the incomparable Mona and Lisa, but at first?

  9. Hi Ladies
I came up with a few more questions in case you are looking for some more.

1..Do have a favorite classical music composer, and are there any classical music pieces you like listening to?

2..In other genre’s of music outside of rock/pop, what artists do you admire or like listening to? For example Jazz, country, reggae, new age, folk, any international…..etc

3..Your artwork is very impressive and worthy of exhibition. Are there any famous artists in history or modern artists and their work that you admire, and possibly get inspiration from?

    Thanks!

  10. Are planning playing again?
If yes, is anyone of is gonna be available for streaming online?

The odds of you playing in Utah are not really good.

    1. Great idea Claude. I’d love to tune in to a live streaming concert. I’m in Utah also, so that big ocean kind of gets in the way of seeing them live. Maybe a Christmas concert for the MLT club showcasing their new Christmas album and originals.

  11. Sorry, I couldn’t come up with a single question. : {)

If each of you could bring a musician back to life for one afternoon in your studio, who would it be? And, would you want to spend that time asking questions and learning from him/her or recording.

If you could travel back to before 1994 to see any concert, which concert would it be.

If you could sit and watch any recording session, which song/musician/band would it be?

This is a Team MLT question. I have noticed that many of the photos, posted on social media and in the club, are very creative, make excellent use of color, contrast, lighting and composition. You have posted many excellent photos. Is this a Team MLT effort or is one or two of you the “go to person” for photography?

If you could collaborate with any female musician, dead or alive, who would it be?

If business considerations were not a factor, what percentage of time would you spend in the studio versus live performances?

What is the most enjoyable part of your music careers?

I think this has already been ask so I will 2nd it. Would you consider a live streaming event with music and maybe Q&A. Sort of taking the club live for an evening? (Morning/afternoon)

What is the funniest, strangest or goofiest thing your sister has done?

    I love my sister because…?

My sister can drive me crazy sometimes because…?

How many facial expressions does Lisa have?

Whose idea was it to jump out of a perfectly good airplane for your 18th birthday?

If red, blonde and natural were not available hair colors, what color would your hair be?

  12. It’s no secret that you share common aspects of your lives, (cooking, drawing, music, date of birth, etc). What interests do each of you have apart from your sister?

  13. Hi Mona and Lisa. You have already answered two of my questions. The planning of a Q&A Video is one and the other one relates to the MLT Club anniversary, so may I be permitted to ask a question that was posed by another Club member recently. Which one of you is the funniest and least serious? You did respond individually, but I would love to see you answer this question together in a video. I have trawled the archives to find my own evidence but would appreciate hearing it first hand from both of you! The only other question that comes to mind at the moment is a really big one. In your opinion, what is the meaning of life?

As for Jung’s question, “Which one is the evil twin?”, that’s a very difficult one. Sometimes I think it might be Mona and sometimes I think it might be Lisa. Does anyone really know!

And one more thing. I have to ask this. When do you plan on returning to Adelaide for a visit? We miss you!

  14. What is the meaning of happiness for you? Just kidding 🙂

For a potluck party, what would Mona likely bring? What would Lisa likely bring?

Are there any games you enjoy, ie card games, board games (backgammon, chess, checkers, cribbage etc…), video games etc…?

    As sisters:
question for Lisa – what qualities do you appreciate/admire the most in Mona
question for Mona – what qualities do you appreciate/admire the most in Lisa
-Maybe to keep this spontaneous, keep it a secret from each other until the video.

Last question: Have you ladies figured out which one is the evil twin yet?

    Thanks for all you do!

  15. Based on your activities over the last year or two, i.e., collaborations with other musicians, I was wondering if you are considering other collaborations or if there are already some proposed collaborations you would be willing to share with us. Some could be other musicians that are FB and internet based, e.g., Sina or Avonlea, but I could see some difficulties with that. Also, I was wondering what style of music do you see yourselves trending to…..I thought your Starman cover was a major shift in your musical style (in a very good way), but was it a “one-off” in terms of a Bowie song, an expansion in tryng to do different things, or a change in direction.

  16. I’m sure you’re ask this quite a lot but, how many guitars do you own? Which are your most prized instruments?

  17. Do you lovely ladies ever have any future plans to come to the United States for a tour so all your great fans could come and see you live. Perhaps a meet and greet for the MLT members, would be great, it would be a memory I would cherish, come to Albany, N.Y will be first in line to get my tickets.

  18. Do either of you currently have a tattoo and if not is there any chance of you getting one in the future and what would your future tattoo have for a theme?

  19. Hi from Adelaide, South Australia. How many members does the MLT Club have and what is the geographical spread? Just curious as to what your profile is like “across the universe”, pardon the pun!

  20. Hmmm…. Thinking Q Cap on here… What have I NOT asked already?!… Lol…. Will there be in the future a LIVE GIG DVD made of your various gig shows from over the last few years with Steve Harley, snippets from the Cavern Residency, Half Moon, etc.
And to be funny : Is Lisa striving for Guinness Record for longest hair for a musician?!… Crystal Gayle holds that record but Lisa could surpass that… Is Mona doing the growing out the bang looks too?!
When will the MLT Munchies Guide to Groovy Healthy Cooking Cookbook be coming out?!

  21. There was a post a little while back of you all doing an instrument swap. Mona on drums and Lisa on Bass singing Bulldog. Any chance there might be a release of something like this.? Thanks Ladies and All the Best to each of you.
