Anything you want to know about life as twins?

We’re collecting submissions for another „themed“ Q&A session which we alternate with the “unthemed” „Ask the MLT“ episodes … the next topic will be “Life as Twins”.

So ask away!

  1. It’s fascinating to watch you both communicate with just a look or smile, and you seem to get along like no two people I’ve ever seen. But I assume that you have differences of opinion when creating your amazing music. Do you have different tastes in genres? Which one of you is the ‘bossy’ one? (If there is one. We all know you are wonderful persons!). I have cousins that are twins and they like the same foods, have very similar tastes in art, clothes, and life choices. Would you say you are like that and as you have aged have you found that you are closer than when younger or become more, for lack of a better word, independent. BTW: Happy Birthday!

  2. I have been fascinated by how the two of you communicate in ways that are hard for most of us to understand. I see the eye rolls, the glances from one followed by a smile from the other, but I guess we non-twins will never understand how you know what the other is going to do or say before they do it. I was going to ask a question along those lines, but while I was reading up on twins to see what the so-called experts say, I saw a much better question.

So my question is: what’s the best part about being a twin?

  3. You seem to enjoy doing everything together and are incredibly supportive of one another. It’s a joy to see. Have there been times or areas where you have been competitive with one another or just stubbornly don’t agree? Thanks so much for doing these Q & As!

  4. I’m hooked on your marathon in the Black Mountains, I am still so impressed. The thing that strikes me is neither one of you would ever let the other one down, no matter how difficult things get. Just amazing and you have that same attitude with everything you do.

  5. We can clearly see the strong bond between you two when you do the Duo Sessions…one of the reasons why those performances are so special!

  6. There have been many twin acts, some more well-known that others. Nelson, the Proclaimers, and Tegan and Sara are some of my favorite bands. Do you have a favorite twin act, or were there any that inspired you?

  7. I have submitted a question, but have a comment about twin men I once played in a band with. One was the drummer and the other one was the bass player. They were the best foundation to a band. It was so easy to play guitar along with them. I learned so much about rhythm guitar. They knew each other so well that they could look at each other and know what the other was thinking about the music. I think you are like that. Especially with your exceptionally tight vocals. Sometimes in the Duo Sessions I get the feeling you are thinking the same way. Can’t wait for the answers segment! Stay groovy.
