When We’re Together – Q&A Prompt

It’s time to start submitting questions for our next Q&A video!

For the next Q&A video we want to talk about our original debut album “When We’re Together”.

If you have any questions about the album, the individual songs, the music videos, the DVD, the artwork, the song writing process … please submit them below and we will try our best to answer them in an upcoming video!

“When We’re Together” will celebrate its 10th birthday next year (how did that happen?!) and we know many of you have been introduced to our original work through it. We created and uploaded a music video on YouTube for every single track on the album, which was an enormous project at the time and took us a couple of years to finish (we were releasing loads of other videos at the time, too).

Many of you have the CD or even the DVD at home, but if you’ve never seen all videos for the album you can watch them here in the right order and find the behind-the-scenes videos here in the MLT Club.

Down the line, we’d love to make these themed Q&As about our other releases too, but we think it’s fitting to start with our original debut album ♥

We are looking forward to your questions!

  1. Like all really great music, this album is as fresh and enjoyable today as it was when it was first released. I play it all the time and love every minute of it.

  2. First of all, these were great videos; I still enjoy watching them. As with others, most of my likely questions were answered in the “Making of …” videos.

June is my favorite of your videos, but I also really like “Dreams”, a serious song with a fun video. I got a kick out of the Twins walking everywhere in their pajamas, and quickly noticed that Lisa is not only wearing PJ’s, she’s walking barefoot outside almost everywhere. I have always loved being barefoot, and still spend most of my time at home without shoes, inside and outside. My question is: just how far did you walk barefoot that day, and do you enjoy being barefoot?

  3. Hello Ladies, in the video “June” you probably chose dark clothes and guitars of associated colors to symbolize your blue state of mind as you look forward to better days. Mona seems to me to play with a Martin GPC-28 sunburst and Lisa with a Taylor 714-n. Can you tell us the story, the reason for choosing these two guitars, please?

  4. Good idea, now…to think of what to ask, that’s not already been….lol

Well, here goes 1 out 2 Q that come to mind, if already asked previous , my apologies…

#1 –When you were doing rehearsals/dance lessons, which dances did you enjoy learning /least enjoy ( I think it was for ” One More Time ” video) ?

#2 — What were your top 5 fave locations to film at !?

  5. I just love these Q&A videos…I love to hear you talk., It’s always fun., and with each answer we get to know you a little more…I love the WWT DVD and album…all the tracks are great…rare thing in current music , as sometimes only a few tracks on an album are good. Stay groovy dear girls.

  6. Hey all, so I know that all the audio and video’s are License synced. What I like about this album and video is that the entire album flows with the videos and vice versa. Again, I think June is a good example but how did you come up with the collaborative process in order to choose? You guys really
worked your butt’s off. Very much like the Beatles albums. Mona, Lisa and your dad are geniuses!! Would you do it again the same way??? Groovy, Groovy, Groovy!!!

  7. Alright another Q and A, they are always so fun and enjoyable. Will have to put on my thinking cap, or better yet put on the album, and let it carry me away! 🙂

  8. These videos are fantastic. Thanks for suggesting we watch them all in order one more time.  It obvious you were having fun, but at the same time you seem to pay meticulous attention to every detail. The sky line in Wide Wide Land is a perfect example. When I first watched it, I assumed you had waited for a picture perfect day to shoot. That is so kool how you blocked it in post production (correct terminology?)

It is difficult to think of a question that has not already been asked and answered.  You have spoiled us with all of the “Behind the Scenes” and “making of” videos.

p.s.  Dreams should come with a warning label:
DO NOT listen to this song while driving or operating heavy machinery.

LOL. We were on a long late night trip to visit our son at school.  It is a three to four hour trip on the highway.  I found myself slipping into a dream state about halfway through this song and had to immediately skip to the next track “One More Time” and roll down the window.  Don’t get me wrong, I adore “Dreams”.  It has a very “soundtrack” vibe to it.

  9. You may not want to believe this, but I just got around to playing the entire ‘When We’re Together’ DVD last night. I bought it from you a couple months back, and my folks and I loved it! It’s so awesome you went to the extra effort of making the ‘making of’ vids for each one! They really give us fans (friends) a sense of the hard work and planning involved, and a greater appreciation of the polished, professional end products! I don’t possess a strong musical knowledge like many of my fellow clubsters, so I’ll leave the brainy questions to them and keep my Q’s on the light side. This promises to be a VERY entertaining Q&A! Wonderful idea, Ladies!
