Questionable Work in Progress …

Please bear with us …

Last weekend we filmed the music video for “Questionable”, and after returning back home we immediately jumped into editing.

We had just swapped to a new video editing software, upgraded to 8k video resolution footage (yes, that’s a thing now!) and are using quite a lot of elaborate greenscreen editing, so there is a lot going on!

We are all taking turns editing, and while I (Mona) am writing this, Lisa is taking a short nap after having worked through the entire last night. I’ll wake her up with a cup of strong coffee soon 😉

All this to say, there won’t be a new music video today. The official release date for “Questionable” is February 21st but we are hoping to get it done before that so we can send it out to MLT Club Members in advance. If we manage it you will receive an additional MLT Cub Wire over the weekend!

Sorry about that – we are trying our best to get the video done asap (without sacrificing quality)!

In the meantime, we uploaded a Lyrics Page for the song:

To bridge the gap, we also uploaded some more jigsaw puzzles for those of you who enjoy doing them! It’s been a while since we posted some but all the new ones are themed around our latest original video release “Songbird”.

Have fun!

That’s all for now! We are straight back to work and you will hear from us very, very soon!

Thanks for your patience with this video, we think it will pay off – fingers crossed!

Lots of love and stay groovy,
Mona & Lisa

  1. Hi dear girls.. this song is wonderful.. the lyrics, the melody, the arrangements and their voices.. I can’t say how many times I’ve heard it..and I can’t get enough..I’m sure the video will be great too.. But don’t worry.. don’t stress, fast or slow, we’ll be here to applaud you. We love you. And speaking of questionnaire, Mona, you said that Lisa is sleeping and you need to wake her up with a strong cup of coffee.. Can I ask you a question? Who sleeps more, Mona or Lisa?.

  2. Love the photo, some serious video production going on there. This reminds me of the Beatles or Brian Wilson in the studio at their craft, weaving their magic. Mona and Lisa carry on that tradition, perfecting their art, to give their fans top notch music and videos, best of the best in the music business, and they do it all themselves! That is so special. True artists in their element.

  3. Thanks for the update. I feel like we are watching an MLT documentary in real time. Mona is so sweet to wake Lisa with a cup of coffee, but I feel Mona has a hidden agenda to push on. Be sure and bring the whole pot of coffee next time. Allow 15-20 minutes for the caffeine to kick in and get to it. Lol

    JP ????☕️☕️

  4. I get the same feeling as when I read the intro to the Beatles Get Back – “The Beatles have three weeks to write fourteen songs for a concert and live album.” I guess we mortals have trouble understanding the drive of genius.
Please be good to yourselves knowing how many people love and care about you personally, more than we care about the music.

  5. On edge of seat but don’t wear yourselves out on my behalf. I’m sure it will be up to or even above your usual standard so take your time and carry on doing what you do so well.

  6. Okay I’m gonna try my hand at this…. The quality of the product will be remembered long after the delivery date is forgotten! AND my personal feelings are… Stress is the no. 1
aging factor and you ladies are far too pretty to risk it. Stay cool, calm, and collected.
That is not an order but it is a request, for all our sake. Thank you for being who you are and what you do…

  7. When it’s done, it’s done. And we will be here and I know we will love it. So don’t worry, be happy, stay groovy.

  8. You are great artists, not hourly production workers. Relax, take a break, get a good nights sleep for heavens sake! The creativity and charm of the final product will be what becomes a legacy, not the date of release. We love you for who you are, no matter what.

    1. Hey Michael,
It seems they are using DaVinci Resolve. I just moved to it a couple of weeks ago after finally being done with Adobe Premiere. I’ve been watching YouTube videos to teach myself how to use it, and it’s great. I first heard of it in the 90’s when TV shows were still shot on Betacam tape. They would transfer the tapes to digital, color correct it and transfer back to tape. Interesting that nearly 30 years later it is a full editing suite, and one of the best, if not the best.
      Tomás

      1. Thanks for posting that Tomás. I’ve been needing something like this and they have a free version. I’ve just started that learning curve, but it looks good for what I need so far.

  9. Her name was Patience his was Trust, they go together because it’s a must, Trust and Patience is such a must. Everything is fine in it’s own time. Questionable will be sensational in Patience a must with Trust. ????

  10. “Been there, done that” on work projects in my working-for-a-living past, and it is easy to see just how hard you all work. I also guess that pride will make you do it right first, and on time second, and as a former boss and friend used to say, “it will be done when it’s done”.

A side point – that is one impressive monitor Lisa is using! As a computer person, I often had to get the job done with less than state of the art stuff, so I’m after-the-fact jealous. I learned some tricky internal video stuff, but you all are way out of my league on video editing and production. I would love to see a video of the process you go through from the production side.

And last but not least, ditto on Diana Geertsen’s “Please take good care of yourselves.”

  11. Hi ladies, thanks for all your hard work. I know all of us can wait, don’t kill yourselves. Next week!!! Stay Groovy

  12. I have mentioned before that I feel that I’m taking advantage of MLT in that the subscription cost is puny in relation to what I get out of the Club. I have no doubt the quality of this video will bear me out!

  13. There is no deadline in art. When the masterpiece is ready, then it will be ready.

Please don’t rush on our account. Have a nice meal and get a good night’s sleep…all of you!

We, as MLT members, will always be here.

  14. I’ve done similar all nighters for my own creative efforts and understand how you can be compelled to do “just one last thing” before ending the session for the night. And then another…and another.
The end result will be unquestionably great. I just feel it! As others have said, we can’t wait, but definitely will for your sake. ????????☕️????????

  15. I have no doubt it’ll be well worth the wait! Please take time to take care of yourselves and each other. You definitely don’t want to impair your immune systems with inadequate rest in this day and age! Willing you energy, health and mental sharpness (and hugs!).

  16. Such dedication to work all night on the video editing. But I suppose once you really get into something it’s hard to stop until it’s done. I hope you also give Lisa a cookie as well! I’m sure the video will turn out wonderfully and we can’t wait to see the results.

  17. The anticipation is killing us. Well, ok, maybe not. But don’t let it kill you (or burn you out). We can wait a few days.

Humans weren’t designed to work 24/7. You must rest.

Good luck with the new editing program. I know this video will be fantastic, like all of your other work.

  18. No need to apologize Mona, you ladies are the best and we appreciate everything you do for us club members. As I always say, anything from Mona and Lisa are worth waiting for. God bless and you might need a cup of coffee yourself. Give Lisa our love and our love to you as well.
    Bill and Maddie Isenberg

  19. You have nothing to apologize for. Your art is more important than a date on a calendar. I think everyone would agree.
Looking forward to this masterpiece in the making. 🙂

  20. 8K video! Wow, you guys are always pushing the envelope in your music these days and your technology! Pioneers, keep it going, you’re doing great things! It sounds like Lisa is going to need that “strongest coffee in the world” Mona! Thanks for the lyrics page and jigsaw puzzles, it’s gonna be fun doing them. Take your time, you can’t hurry great things. Wishing you all the very best and success with all you endeavours. Looking forward to your new video creation. ????????????❤????

  21. I was up all last night too. I wish I would have been helping Lisa but I was up due to a strong cold front came thru and knocked out our power until 5 this morning. I use a CPAP to sleep and I cannot sleep without it so with no power, I was up.
Take your time and do what you need to do. Your fans are ok with that.
Thank you Mona for taking the time and thinking of us to provide this update.❤️

      1. Thank you Bill. I slept 10 hours last night to help me get caught up. I am doing much better today.
