  1. Mona and Lisa, I received my Studio Scribbles on October 24 along with my CD. Thank you again. It was an ideal day to receive a package from the UK.

I have been thinking about which scribble copy (the original stays home!) to post in my classroom. After ‘reading and listening’, and ‘re-reading and re-listening’, a decision has been made.

Have decided to hang a copy of Songbird in the classroom. There are three reasons for this choice. First, I had the privilege of winning Mona’s guitar strings in the giveaway. Thank you very much Neve. Wishing that Canada Goose a good winter and a happy return to Liverpool in the Spring. Secondly, the song is so calming, which sometimes is needed when teaching in a high school, lol. Finally, there is a verse in the song that is so relevant.

    “Hold tight, Songbird
    You’ll ruffle some feathers
    You’ll gonna get hurt
    Won’t see through the clouds
    Passing under your wing
But you’ll never forget how to sing”
    (Wagner, Wagner, & Wagner, 2021)

Thank you to Mona, Lisa, Papa Rudi, Mona/Lisa, Lisa/Papa Rudi, Papa Rudi/Mona, Mona/Lisa/Papa Rudi, or any combination that I may have omitted in the development of this verse. I’m sure Michaela had a part in the creative process as well, which would add to the list of combinations and permutations!

Congratulations on the album again. It is fascinating to watch the growth process of your musical prowess and of you as ladies. Stay groovy Wagner family!

  2. Always a kick to sit in with you two, no matter what you’re doing! Eagerly awaiting my CD and merch parcel, especially the “scribbles” and CD! Happy 81st birthday ???? to Paul Simon today! I couldn’t agree more with Mona when she named him as someone she’d like to meet in an older Q&A! I’ve no doubt he’d love the MLT duo of “S of S” and also the garage session of “Mrs. Robinson” back in the day!

  3. I enjoyed the video. You two manage to make somewhat mundane tasks entertaining. I’m eagerly looking forward to receiving the new CD as well as the other items I’ve ordered.

You should not worry too much about your signature smudges or ink spills. I saw a documentary on Franz Schubert where they showed one of his original handwritten compositions on display at a museum in Vienna. The page had a large ink splotch on it where Schubert had apparently knocked over the ink pot. Maybe this issue with ink on works of art is just a common thread for genius Austrian composers!

  4. Those Wagner’s have all the cool cutting edge stuff. I mean, check out that gorgeous, beautiful sounding jukebox that would look pretty anywhere you put it. It sounds great .I want one of those!!!

  5. I like your chats, you get along so well. Mona makes good fun of Lisa who never disagrees but in her sweetest voice says “ok” always makes me smile. Wishing you the best on your new CD, quite an amazing accomplishment. Just today my copy of “When we’re together” was delivered, with WHY I’ll have all three original CD’s, along with the coolest hat, Ever! Thank you so much, you really are the best people who I am proud to support.

  6. I think it’s possible and perhaps likely that other independent artists work this hard to honor their fan bases, but I’d bet the number is small. You two ladies put so much energy and effort and gratitude into everything that you do for the MLT club. This is perhaps trivial for me to say, but it is sincere. I wonder how many other fans bases feel as included and “special” as we do. We know that music can build relationships; when those who create it go beyond lyrics and notes to connect with their listeners, something very unique and special is created. This is what you offer us, and I humbly thank you.

  7. So cool watching you sign the studio scribbles, knowing that I will receive one of them !!
As always such a joy to watch your videos !

  8. You guys do everything with a lot of dedication, affection and joy and that’s why everything you two do is so good..I can’t wait to have the album and the other items I ordered in my hands…and hear the surprises that “Why” will bring us..I’m sure all the tracks will be great..good luck dear girls on the release of the fabulous album “Why”..Stay Groovy.

  9. The website does seem to be working faster today and it is looking pretty good also.
Hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful Fall weekend (well at least in the U.S. the weather is nice).
I just watched the NY Giants defeat the Green Bay Packers in an American Football game played in London, England. It was very exciting.
    Take care everyone,
    Love & Peace,
    Bobby S.

  10. You guys expend such dedication to your fans. I just want to say that I appreciate and that I’m thankful for all your signings, being able to watch it. ????

  11. Microphones have a fear of being eaten, probably why they lost their juice. ????
I’m always amazed at all the hard work you put in day in and day out. I KNOW how much it takes to keep a complex site running, and that’s not even your biggest task!
Looking forward to all the goodies coming our way! ????????
    Thank you!

  12. Ah, Saturday afternoon here, Fibally managed to have access to Log In, after tge Succession of Internet Gas, Burps, Hiccups , as you had mentioned ( I’m being humorous here in as I know it’s not your doing but stupid computer/internet provider server issues causing you moments of grief but am optimistic All Will “Come Together ” accordingly when it’s time… ) , much enjoyed watching this my arthritis in my hands would act up after about signing 20 … Wow, in Awe of you signing All that you did, was wishing I could order a print but can’t afford the extra treat of that, so I’m enjoying those here, watching sign them, they look creatively Awesome , Kudos, that was a great concept to offer for this new album, I’m enjoying the Scribble Prints in Spirit, that I can do, , Tgankyou for entertaining us with this, Smiles from je, hoping your hands didn’t pay too much of writer’s cramps price, run hands under hot water a spell, that helps…. Looking forward to Pre-Order bundle in the mail, whenever it will arrive in my mailbox…. It’s The Canadian Thanksgiving Wknd , Thankful for your music, etc… ????????????????

  13. Mona and Lisa, wow such dedication to us club members! Is beyond amazing, to sit there and sign and record and chat with us is something that no other groups of acts do for their fans. This is what separates you both from the rest of the pack. As I always say you both make us feel like family with your love and dedication. This is so exciting for us to wait for the new album to come out and again it is the worth of waiting to me. I am just getting to this now and it kick started my weekend. A bit chilly here in Pittsburgh PA Fall is in full swing here in Pittsburgh, the leaves are beautiful with all the colors of fall. Again thank you for sharing with us and we all love you both and god bless

  14. This is great. I love the high speed signing. It looks like you have a lot more to do. Mind your writer’s cramp, and remember to take frequent breaks. An extra cup of coffee can do wonders.

I always curse my internet provider when things slow down. Your explanation sounded like a “Dear John” letter I may have received in the past.

    Dear John,
    I swear it’s not you, it’s me.

Thanks for sharing this historical moment with us. We are really looking forward to the arrival of our next parcel from Liverpool.

    Marlo & JP ☕️☕️☕️☕️

  15. Love spending time with you each week, even when watching you work hard! So good to know my order is in good hands and coming soon and can’t wait to see what number out of 100 I get!! (be aware there are UK postal strikes on 20 and 25 October). Always new tech fails the first time you rely on it so must be annoying to lose the audio but as ever you coped seamlessly. Looks like a lot of signing to do when you get to the other parts of the preorders so better stock up on some more coffee!! I would get a sore hand writing so intensely and repetitively so a big thanks for doing all this signing for us. Keep on grooving, Allan

  16. Howdy,
It is always enjoyable to watch your videos. You make Fridays Fun. You have the nicest smiles.
Thanks for sharing your lives with us fans.
    Have a groovy weekend.
    Cheers,
    Bobby S.
P.S. Hey Mona your hair is looking good and better each week. And Lisa I like your hair also. I choose no favorites here.

  17. Looking forward to getting my set and all the other items I pre-ordered. Now if you can figure out how to release albums of original music quicker than every 5 years. Or perhaps that is intentional. Pacing yourselves already in life.

  18. Hi Ladies,
What a cool way to spend a Friday evening.
The extra red ink is just an added bonus and makes the sheet that much more desirable.
I’m anxiously awaiting the post Delivery of Little MLT Parcel.
Thanks Ladies and Team MLT for all you do. Believe me, it is greatly appreciated and noticed
    Best always
    Rick

  19. I feel so good knowing I sent my pre-order in time to claim one of those awesome scribble bundles you’re signing. One hundred is a very limited edition and having a set makes me feel very special indeed. I loved the video -just getting a chance to hang out with you while you were doing your chores. However, I was totally taken back when near the end Mona came back into the room and sat down on Lisa’s left side!!!!!! I have been waiting years wondering whether this ever ever happened in this universe, or only in maybe an alternative universe. It was so other-worldly! Makes me feel like absolutely anything is possible, especially when it comes to you two! Just can’t wait for the new album to get here. Big hugs!

    1. HI Stephen, I was thinking the same thing about the ladies changing sides just at the end of the video. Maybe it was a mirror image and they really were not on opposite sides lol.

      1. Gosh, I hope not Robert. I love seeing them do the unexpected. That’s one of the reasons I’m really looking forward to hearing the new songs. I think we’re gonna get a very pleasant surprise!

  20. So much fun…but I say that every week. From Lisa’s formal “Hello” and Mona’s chipper “Hi” until the narration at the end, I was smiling the whole time!

Lisa, it really seems that you enjoy playing with props. You can turn a letter opener, a rubber band, and a microphone to an element of physical comedy. Well played!

Mona’s contribution to prop comedy definitely is the use of the packing that comes with your Birthday and Christmas gifts. And of course the way you played with your percussion instruments in Lola was epic!

Kudos also must be given to Jung for the gift of those awesome pens! Jung, I am in Toronto right now for the baseball playoffs against Seattle and your local team (lots of Seattle fans in Vancouver) beat us today. There’s always tomorrow, lol.

Mona and Lisa, thank you very much for signing and numbering your song scribbles. The process to everything is so important, and it will be great to see the inception of these great songs!

    1. Hi Christopher, hope you had a great time in Toronto to watch the game. Yeah, we need a major league team in Vancouver. You have to come catch a game here on the westcoast one day. It’s day number 100+ since we had any significant rain in Vancouver as the record drought continues. All the creeks have dried up and the Salmon can’t spawn. It’s gonna be like southern California here soon. I’m enjoying the endless sunny weather though.

      1. Hope that you are having a great Thanksgiving weekend. As a kid, we always had a turkey on Canadian Thanksgiving as well…we liked Turkey.

Enjoyed being in Toronto even though Seattle won (in a very dramatic fashion) on Saturday. No deciding Game 3, so I came home today. Despite the outcome, it was a nice two days.

  21. Love hanging with you doing absolutely anything!
You are so genuine and sweet and charming and sincere and devoted – and beautiful.
I hope I ordered early enough to get a lower number…
Thanks for thinking of us as we wait in joyful anticipation…!

  22. Hi Mona and Lisa! This was a most enjoyable 10 minutes seeing you both writing and talking, it felt like you invited us all into your kitchen to spend some time with you, as you worked on your art. Absolutely loved it, and it’s so special seeing you signing those lyrics with those fountain pens! I think these limited edition lyric prints are priceless, each numbered, signed by you. They are each so personalized, and you both laboured over them, truly a labour of love, for 4 hours. What merch can be more special than that! I love listening to “The Wide, Wide Land”, while reading along with your handwritten lyrics, each letter formed by you with your pen on paper, it is so incredibly special and personal, hearing your music, and reading the words you hand wrote. These limited edition lyric prints are exactly that too, for the 100 extremely lucky people who will get to have one.

Watching you both carefully autographing and numbering each sheet reminds me just how much of your self you put into your music, album, album cover art, to taking our orders, personally shipping them, all by you both and Michaela and Rudolf! It is truly a labour of love, everything you do is so personalized with your craft, like an independent Swiss watchmaker in the Alps Jura Mountains creating timeless works of art pieces from scratch all by hand. Your music and art is like that, very, very, incredibly special! We are the luckiest fans in the world to have found you. Thank you so much. ???? ???? ???? ???? ????

Just counting the days for the new album with great excitement and anticipation!

  23. A wonderful video of a autographed work out. It is very nice you shared this with us. I preordered the entire set of 4 plus many other new items of WHY. You are all very special ones to our world.

  24. I totally would have bought the set if it had included “Jump Ship.” I love that you share this behind-the-scenes parts of your life stuff with us! That’s something else Miley or Justin wouldn’t do, David. lol

    1. Roger, I absolutely love Jump Ship too, the melody and mood of the song just draws me in and I don’t want to leave. The “Why” lyrics and album art cover seems to be in a similar realm as Jump Ship.

  25. If someone told me they were going to film themselves signing papers, I would’ve said how boring. But you guys are so engaging that it is actual fun to watch. You guys are the best. Peace be.

  26. Somehow I can’t picture Miley Cyrus or Justin Bieber working to improve the page load times on their websites. Team MLT does it all!

    1. ROFL. Those sites wouldn’t have issues to begin with, and they wouldn’t work on it because they pay vast amounts of money for someone else to take care of that. One day soon MLT will be in the same category! 😀

  27. After my set of prints arrive I’ll have to watch the video at 1/4 speed to see if I can catch the moment when one of mine was being signed. Then I’ll take a screenshot and print it to keep with the prints. That’s not getting carried away, right? All perfectly normal behavior, right?

  28. I always look forward to the Friday video in the Clubhouse, and this one did not disappoint. Who knew it could be so interesting to watch anyone number and sign pieces of paper? I think the anticipation of getting a couple of them has a lot to do with it!

BTW – any plans to go back to two videos a week?

  29. Lisa’s favorite numbers are interesting in that they are the squares of consecutive primes, five and seven.

    1. I noticed that too, but I was too ashamed of my nerdiness to go public with it. Thanks for being the bravest David in the club.

Okay, now that the wall has been breached, I’ll note that 25 and 49 are the only squares of prime numbers that have exactly two digits.

    2. It’s really cool that your nerdy side caught this. My nerdy side is not math related, so I didn’t notice it, but I have a friend is extremely smart and a big math nerd – he would not have missed it.

Music is closely related to math.: “From the time of Plato, harmony was considered a fundamental branch of physics, now known as musical acoustics.”. I always thought harmonics were cool, and no one does harmony like the twins. So 5 and 25 are also harmonics, as 7 and 49, so I think perhaps Lisa just showed her nerdy side.

      What fun!

      1. That’s very cool. I know nothing of harmonics, so I would’ve missed that, for sure.

Now if I could only figure out why Mona’s favorite number was 18. The best I can come up with is that, according to number theory, it is an “evil” number, while in Judaism it is considered a lucky number. And to top it off, in mathematics it is a “Harshad number” because it is divisible by the sum of its digits. That’s not that interesting, but the fact that “Harshad” comes from Sanskrit and means “joy giver” means that “18” is evil, lucky, and a source of joy. Make of that what you will!

      2. I think I’ve found the significance of 18. Several seconds ago a deservedly obscure number theorist invented a set of integers called Herrick numbers, where H(n) = 1^0 * 2^1 * 3^2 * 4^3 * 5^4 * … * n^(n-1) . This is MLT’s third original album, and H(3) = 18 . Yeah, that has to be it.

      3. Like all great scientific discoveries, it has such an air of obviousness about it that we’re all left wondering how no one saw that before.

  30. I am soooooo excited‼️As always, very interesting and entertaining video. A lot of work, but you make it look fun and make me more excited to see and hear “Why!”
Thank you for everything you do! I love and enjoy your work! ????❤

  31. Best 10 minutes of my day!! You both look beautiful(as always).????????
Can’t wait to get the new album, and put it in the Road Trip rotation.
Thank You again for all the things you do for us fans.
As always, sending Love and Hugs to All!
    ???? ???? ???? ???? ???? ???? ???? ????

    1. I’m guessing here, but she may have been contemplating the upstroke on the “1” when numbering the prints.

  32. Kaput! I don’t know why I always liked that word especially since it means something bad.
So now we see the less glamorous side of the things you do for your fans. Before I retired, my job requires me to sign my name hundreds of times a day and I know how hard and tedious that can be so I appreciate fully what you do. I also lose my mind with joy when I pick up something that you signed knowing that you once held the same item!
I cannot wait for the new album. It will be the best thing I bought this year.
    Love you both ❤️❤️
