Songbird – New Video

May we introduce a new song …

Today we’re releasing a new original song + video … Songbird!

In the past, we’ve always released a Christmas song around this time of the year. But since we’ve been working on our original music more than ever, and have already released a whole CHRISTMAS album in 2019, we decided to rather spend the time and film a video for one of our new original songs.

It’s going to be part of our next album and while you can’t pre-order that (yet), you can already download the single!

As always, we’d love to hear from you, both on our website and in the YouTube comments ♥

  1. I had seen the advertisement but I didn’t develope the interest. But then I felt I have hear this song. It was wow. I have a problem with streaming, I am old school. Streaming to me is like trashing beautiful work. I like vinyl or Cd. Do you have such alternatives. All the same it’s golden voices.

  2. This new single is exceptional! Lyrics, harmonies, and the melodies are so impressive!
I can’t wait to hear all the new original material.
The video is gorgeous and so are both of you!!

  3. Das Lied ist umwerfend. Ihr habt mit eurer Musik einen hohen Perfektionsgrad erreicht. Jeder Ton sitzt genau an seinem Platz. Eure gesamte Erfahrung spiegelt sich in Songbird wider.

  4. Like it! Unexpected phrasing and pauses. Creative, interestingly original. You worked hard on this and it shows. The more I play the more I hear.

  5. I like it……more than just a little. It shows an advanced level of musicianship…..melancholy but hopeful feelings from it. Might be my favorite one yet.

  6. What’s so amazing about the Beatles, and some great artists who followed after their footsteps is that in a 3 or 4 minute pop song, they’ve created artistic emotional depth on par with a Beethoven, Mozart, or Bach 40 minutes symphony or concerto with 3 or 4 movements in classical music.

Mona and Lisa Wagner follow in the footsteps of these great masters with “Songbird”. They are inspired song writers in the realm of the 3Bs (Bach, Beethoven, Beatles), and Songbird just proves it. Songbird is a timeless work of art with so many wonderful elements going on. You can listen to it many times and experience something new, different and unique each time. It’s a brilliant masterpiece! They are on a path to achieve great musical accomplishments.

Let’s all stand behind them in support to spread their music around the globe to blow the lid off the modern musical world. ???? ???? ✨

  7. Absolutely Beautiful, and quintessentially original song. Exactly what we need for Christmas time, something to lift our spirits. Oh! and the guitar picking is truly amazing too. Please do come and entertain us again sometime at the Hospital.

  8. Music at it’s finest ! Love it and the cords on the guitar fall into place perfect and the drums are perfect as well and the singing? Spot On! You ladies deliver the goods every time, it is a cover or original wow you talent is off the charts. Thank you so much for this Christmas gift and can’t wait to live stream tonight

  9. Thank you! What about an added flute, violin or piano solo to enhance, Just my idea, it’s hard to improve when it’s that good

  10. The song has a nice rhythm that floats like the balloon in the artful video. The scenery is sumptuous. i enjoyed the video, although i wouldn’t feel compelled to watch it frequently, as the simplicity that is enjoyable doesn’t require repetition to take it all in and assimilate it. If this seems less than complimentary, i apologize; i really did enjoy this.

  11. I really love your new song, it reminds me of Carole King’s work. The video provided some beautiful scenery that was well filmed. With your talent and beauty you girls are set for a magnificent career. I wish you all the best fortune!

  12. Wonderful song! The Twins are evolving and perfecting their sound. The music, lyrics, harmonies, production values…it is all peaking. Well done!

  13. I thought Christine McVie of Fleetwood Mac originated Songbird, in title anyway.
Not the same song, only in Title.
Excellent job, Girls. Keep up the good work ????

  14. Lovely video. I marvel at the voicings that I believe only twins can have. Wonderful. For me, this song’s hook is not strong enough to make it memorable. All else, playing and harmonies are spot on.

  15. Wow, a new song you can actually follow the melody and even sing along! Sad to see where music has gone but you bring a fresh revision! Thank you for sharing your gift!

  16. Another really 60s influenced song – it is quite quite amazing that McCartney neve wrote this – or did he and it’s not been discovered – no it’s just the MLT again being brilliant – thanks for making my day, girls

  17. What a fantastic song, wonderful harmonizing voices. And so true! Thank you very much, Mona & Lisa..
*** Have a merry, a wonderful Christmas and a happy New Year! ***
Perhaps – will there be a funny song or clip about “Tidy up” – for the new year? – Throwing the old, little gabbages overboard? 😀

  18. Songbird is a lovely original song with great lyrics. Like it the more it is heard. Video is captivating too. What audiences have come to expect from this talented duo. Keep this style going!
    Roger

  19. Beautiful, wonderful clarity …. 60,s influence shines though even with your own songs
    much more please
    merry Christmas gary x

  20. I love the clarity of your lyrics and the simplicity of the acoustic guitars. Your voices combine so beautifully and are so evocative of the ‘60’s music that you play which first attracted me to listening to you. A lovely song. Have a happy Christmas.

  21. Dear MoLi Twins; Very nice, the right sensitivity, in every life, setbacks and difficulties happen…. “but you will never forget how you can (should) sing”; – “spread your wings and set yourself free”… the lyrics of this song contain wise life lessons… you have to really listen then. I wish you good luck and above all that you do well (± feel happy).

  22. It’s a beautiful song. It brought tears to my eyes as it made me think about my young friend currently confined in hospital. One day she will come out & then can spread her wings & hopefully fulfil her dreams. Thank you.

  23. Nicely done. Not my favorite of your original songs, but nice to listen to. The video is very well done. Nice effort all around.

  24. Songbird is an amazing work of art! Has so much feeling and longing. The song takes me on a wonderful emotional ride, and the video mirrors those emotions perfectly right up to the red balloon release at the end when my spirit soars away with it in a graceful release. Your singing and harmonies are so beautiful, melody is captivating, guitar work is melodic and outstanding, drumming is over the top, and the blissfully elegant keyboard run blasts my spirit into the sky. There are so many wonderful elements happening in the song. Love it. A masterpiece!

You both look amazing in the video!
      ???? ???? ????

  25. That was wonderful – great song, great video with beautiful scenery! The more I listen, the more I pick up on the beautiful, intricate work of art this is.

  26. Listening to any one of your songs is so addictive I then have to listen to another and another. Before I know it I have passed away hours. You are a pleasant addiction.

  27. Brilliant. Your voices continue to mature as your songwriting improves significantly with each new release. This is the perfect combination of beautiful harmonies and unforgettable music, a very catchy tune with deceptively complex lyrics. The video is personal almost to the point of intimacy. Well done.

  28. I love these girls…women. I don’t think there is anything they did I didn’t and wouldn’t like. There are some I couls listen to and like ,but if I didn’t hear them again,i’d be ok with that. But these ladies have a solid place in my heart….Love your new song

  29. As you mature in your singing and songwriting, there is a new depth. The video echoes the mood of the song, which is, I think, more of a longing than a statement. Beautifully done…as always!

  30. Very talented, quite entertaining, not just writing the guaranteed radio hit song, but instead something that means more to you. I applaud all you do. All the best and Merry Christmas

  31. Way above average writing. Great, unexpected chord structure, pointing to your gifted talent for melody and harmony connections. “You won’t forget how to sing”, my favorite line.

  32. I agree. It’s great they’ve broken out of the Beatles and Cavern mold and doing their own material . I think that Wide. Wide Land. was a brilliant release with social statements but still had shades of Mull of Kintyre-but I keep re-watching their video of that. I love it. I have this feeling that their new album is going to knock us off our feet . Martin from Birmingham UK and a late but total convert to the MLT cause.

  33. Beautiful! So many pretty chord changes and harmonies! There’s a nostalgic quality I feel when I hear the twins, echoes of a friendlier, more optimistic time. More vultures than songbirds these days.

  34. Such a nice song! Enjoyed it very much. Not that you were trying to make it so, but the song does have a “Beatlesque” quality to it (Please forgive me if I have taken their name in vain!).
