Songbird Video Shoot – Photos
Fly far, Songbird …
Last month we filmed and released the music video for our new single “Songbird”.
We got a lot of questions about the filming locations and are currently cutting together a little behind-the-scenes video for it to show you a bit more of where we created the video. However, today we wanted to show you some “behind the scenes” photos already.
The whole video filming only took three days to shoot, and we filmed most of it along the Panorama Walk at Llangollen in North Wales (about an hour south of Liverpool).
As the landscape was already starting to look a bit barren and the trees were losing their leaves, we thought that embracing the rocky parts of that area was a good way to go. On our several camping trips through Wales last summer (here are some photos of Pembrokeshire and Barmouth in the MLT Club Photo Gallery) we truly fell in love with that part of the UK, so we are glad to finally be able to capture some of it in a music clip.

Jeannette, I feel the same way. I took the California album with me to work this morning and listened over and over again. It had been a while and man I want you to know it is so good just as Songbird but with a lot younger voices. Your dad is a great producer. You both sound so good and Lisa your licks on Hotel California were right on. Your harmonies are breathtaking!!!! So, what did I do but put it in again for the way home? Go figure. That was 2009? My God what a family indeed!!!!
I am in awe of the all round artistry of this family. It is amazing to have such incredible musical gifts, but the creative vision and artistic nuances that go into videos like Songbird and the photos take my breath away. Put the music and the visuals together and it is magic that reaches into one’s heart and soul. Thank you for sharing your gifts so generously.

It looks beautiful and a little cold. I don’t know if I could live there with the rain and fog. Thank you Mona and Lisa for sharing, feels like family. The wonderful thing about the MLT club is I get to meet people from all over the world and to share stories and see photo’s of places I will never get a chance to see and that is awesome to me and this photo shoot your sharing with us now Mona and Lisa is simply gorgeous and lovely. You are so blessed to witness that part of this wonderful world we all live in. There is so much to see in this world and this is so cool to see what you both did for the video and other video’s. I did receive the song lyrics to Songbird and have it framed in our game room with all the family photo’s. I realized that there is another song called Songbird and it is by Fleetwood Mac off the Rumors album, but I must admit your version is so beautiful and so easy to listen to. When I got your lyrics in the mail? I made a cup of tee ( in your honor ) lit the fireplace and sat back and played Songbird over and over and it was so nice and relaxing. Thank you and keep it coming, we all love you in the MLT Club!

Such a beautiful landscape and great pictures of it! I love how there are balloons popping up here and there and you all seem so devoted to your work and seem to be having fun at the same time.
It’s really kool that you’re only an hour or so away from here. It’s a beautiful area. Like the video, these pictures are amazing. You all take wonderful pictures. We like to play “who took this one?” and try to guess who the photographer is.
Your team work is very inspiring. You all look so focused in one shot, and then huge smiles in the next. Nice!

What a beautiful setting you filmed the video! The camping you did last year along Wales really paid off in giving you a brilliant idea for scene to shoot music video. Especially loved the gorgeous shots of you both on the rocks with your guitars. Listening to Songbird while looking through these photos felt especially special. I love these pictures. The countryside is absolutely gorgeous and the photography is so well presented with the shots of Lisa and the balloon that everything just feels like it belongs together. Even in the absence of the magnificent song, the photography makes you beg to know the story being told. Nothing could be more lovely.

The energy of the song, I suppose the deeper feelings of it, not only come from your fantastic arrangements and actual song writing /performance, but also where you are located. I always love seeing the photos that go to make up the videos. It breaks down the amazing process into appreciable parts, especially where there’s so much going on in every video with the family’s experience and Rudi’s drone talents. I also love how your whole family is so close and focused and together. I must agree with Tim about how lovely my favorites Mona and Lisa look, but I’m glad all the lovely Wagner ladies are represented! This has been a long week for me waiting to see what the MLTers – I was totally spoiled by the Advent calendar…
I know what you mean about the Advent calendar Frank. I still end up visiting the club every day for at least an hour. I do miss them.
There isn’t a video or duo session or radio interview or anything they do that doesn’t captivate me.

Thank you for sharing! The only way to improve stunning scenery is to put a Wagner girl in the photo. Both of you look wonderful but Lisa, Lisa, Lisa, you look marvelous! So gorgeous in the way your hair accents the color in the photos. And on the pictures on the rock, it looks darker. True glamour!!!
