In The Studio – Photos

Today we want to share with you some photos taken during various recording and writing sessions. These are moments captured throughout the year so far.

We are so lucky to be able to record, film, rehearse, practise and jam within our own four walls which comes with so much freedom. Especially during lockdown it would have been impossible to get any work done if it hasn’t been for our own recording space and manpower. It enables us to work around the clock, no matter the time of day or night, which often comes in very handy 😉

We are sure we’ll spend much more time there for the remainder of 2020! New originals, covers, duo sessions, videos, MLT Club content coming!

Groovy, musical greetings,
Mona & Lisa

  1. As said in other comments you guys are not only good in music, but also make beautiful pictures (and video’s)! Thanks for sharing!!

  2. I always love seeing pictures of you two just being yourselves. The artists in their element. You are both so photogenic and your naturally witty, fun loving personalities shine right through. A precious gift to us fans, one that always fills my heart with joy.

I can’t wait to find out what those creative forces within you will produce next! But I love knowing that, whatever it is, it came from within your beautiful and loving spirits. (Not some ill-conceived algorithm pre-existing inside the cold computers of some music business executives living in some twisted echo chamber).

  3. Really love the pics of the guitars and the ones with contemplative looks while playing the instruments or just thinking.

  4. What a nice and interesting array of photos.
Love the shot of you all looking at your monitor during the recording of Looking Thru You. Looking forward with great interest to seeing your new Banjo Guitar in action soon.
Mona the up close photo of you during the recording of Sweet Lorraine is how I imagined Sweet Lorraine looking at the dance. Dressed for Success. Lisa with the white top and red hair. During the line Dress Lilly White Turns To Red and we get the close up of the blouse and hair is no coincidence.
These photos tell a story all their own. Dedication, Perseverance, If it takes extra, Then that’s what it takes, Many Tears, Frustration, Accomplishment, Success, Euphoria, Excitement, and best of all giving it your very best and doing what you love with your whole heart. That is the greatest gift there is.
Thank you ladies for including all of us on your Amazingly Incredible journey.
Please give your PHENOMENAL Team and yourselves our undying gratitude . ?❤

  5. I’m a little ashamed to admit that one of the reasons I joined the MLT club was to see pictures of the lovely twins. This batch was one of the best ever! Loved the pic of Mona rocking out on the beatbox! And the pic of Lisa belting out a vocal melted my heart! Also tell papa Rudi he has nice legs 😉 You girls are the most amazing talented people! The world is a better place because of you!

  6. Love the pics, and believe me, if anyone is thankful that you have a home studio, it’s us, your fans. Knowing that there is something new coming down the pike puts a smile on my face, and I’m sure on the faces of a couple kazillion other folks too! Your hard work and devotion is totally appreciated!

  7. One more question, where is Mona going with that guitar?

I gotta say, the picture of Lisa resting her chin on her guitar is beautiful. You both have very friendly smiles, and it seems like you are both smiling
most of the time. Mona’s headshot is breathtaking. Is that your Monalisa smile? This picture is similar to that famous painting, as your eyes follow the viewer at every angle. Anybody else notice this?

  8. Love the new photos Mona and Lisa, Really looking forward to some new original music along with some new covers and duo sessions. Really tired of 2020. Can’t wait for 2021. It has to be better than this year. Stay Groovy Girls.

  9. Very nice photos , Always looking forward to hearing new songs. 2021 to bring Peace, Happiness and of course A Brand New MonaLisa Twins LP.

  10. This is right up my creative alley….Enjoyed seeing how the Groovy Creativity Juices floweth from the minds, through the instruments and onto recording process…. All elements intertwining to produce exquisite music from the spiritsouls within…. Each photo captured its own essence vibe and poetical, in action, all the verses form to create a humdinger of a masterpiece in its own right…Thankyou for sharing, inspiring, bringing smiles and Positivity Power with all that you do… Now, you’ve triggered an inspiration idea for a poem of my own and and to draw tonight before I go to bed in awhile…?☮

  11. Candid pictures are so telling, catching the subject in deep thought or thoughtlessness. Looking at these one can’t help but wonder What is she singing, who’s on the phone, who did her hair? What a fabulous room. Are all these your guitars? This place is bigger than our whole apartment. Without looking it up, whose voice gets credit for those last three lines? Thanks for sharing so much with us. I can tell how much you value your gear by how well take care of it. Those are some beatiful guitars. Nice

  12. Oh, these pictures lead to questions. Like what new song features a banjo? And have we seen the beginning of the end of blond and red hair? Only the twins know the answers, please tell….

  13. Lots of pics of guitars and stuff. Love it!.

I didn’t realise you had a Tele. Can’t recall ever seeing that one in a video.

  14. Oh, love these groovy beautiful pictures! I always enjoy your home studio slideshows revealing your creative spirit in your element, surrounded by your wonderful guitars and all the hardware used to bring us all that beautiful splendid music.

Curious what songs you both are writing sitting on the patio on that warm summer day. Especially dig the photos of you Mona getting down to some serious creative work with your beloved Epiphone EJ 160 and Lisa with your Gretsch Duo Jet radiating your beautiful red hair in a white coat getting ready to rock out, like in the Harrison/Lennon roof top session!

Awesome slide show, thoroughly enjoyed them. A big thanks for sharing this.

  15. Your photos always make me smile! Beautiful, fun, interesting, surprising… can’t predict what you might share! I loved the photos and always appreciate your willingness to share them. It makes me feel happy ?. Thank you! ?❤
