New Abum Title & Cover & Merch Reveal
WHY?
Here it is! Our upcoming album WHY? will be ready for pre-order from next Friday. We’re so excited to be able to finally share with you the title, artwork and all the merchandise that will go along with the release.
We will refrain from going into the details of the various creative decisions that went into the title and cover art because you really need to hear the music first. π
The official release date and streaming date will be announced next week!

Wow…I loved the cover, it was great Lisa, I’d gladly to pay for everything you consumed in the cafe, I also liked the title “Why”…I can’t wait to feel that feeling of hearing a great album for the first time time, and I’m sure I’ll enjoy every track, as I did when I heard Orange. I loved the pens and the now traditional wall calendar and the bottons too., thank you dear girls, everything you produce brings me joy.. I like the cover artwork’ s otherworldly feel. Janitor Joe instantly comes to mind with his rocket. Offering the scribbles is inspired!!

The Beatles said, “Ask me why” and so the MonaLisa Twins are asking “Why?” Seems pretty straightforward.
But of course we already know that in its general sense, the answer to the question, “Why?” is simply, “That’s life. That’s what you get.” I know they warn against it, but in this case, I’m going to bet it’s coming up roses, at least when the new CD arrives.
I love the album cover! I like the title and it is very intriguing, but I will have to give some thought to it to try to figure out “why” you chose it. You can count on my preorder (I’ll be a day or two late but you can count on it).
Ooooooh! I’m honestly giddy with excitement! With an album title like “WHY?”, listening to this promises to truly be a transformative experience! The artwork is so awesome and nothing like I would have imagined. I love the idea of getting to see the original notes and scribbles to clue us in to what was going through your creatives minds! This is going to be absolutely incredible and well worth the wait.
I think it’s safe to say we clubbers share your excitement and throw in wildly enthusiastic anticipation to boot! Can’t wait to hear the other half-dozen new tracks, manically giddy over the promised lyric art prints, and school boyishly tickled to hear you say I can eventually get “Why?” on old-school vinyl! It’ll be undoubtedly worth the wait, and I’ll probably have one CD worn out by the time it’s available. Also sooo pleased you’re offering pens and buttons again, as well as the album cover print! Geez, I’m like a kid on Christmas morning over here!

Well you know I donβt think I was to far off when I said the cover will be of Captain Janitor Joe and the Twins with LIFT OFFβ¦.the cover looks like theyβre on another planetβ¦safe arrival for the new series Star Trek First Contactβ¦..Earth Ambassadorβs the MonaLisa Twinsβ¦β¦gotta luvit !β¦β¦got a question though concerning the merch βbuttonsββ¦.what are they ?β¦is buttons another word for βmagnetsββ¦.I love putting magnets on everything and they are such a great promotional tool for giving to friends or anybody that likes rock n roll or even shows an interest when talking to somebodyβ¦you just reach into your pocket and pull out a magnet and give it to somebodyβ¦..Iβm already looking at my current MLT Calendar and thinking βis it next Friday yetβ aaaaggghhh I canβt wait????β€οΈ????

I was looking at this a different way. Judging from the craggy background, I’d say she is scouting on-siteβsomewhere on the moon.
This is so exciting!! I remember back in 1972 when the Rolling Stones released Exile On Main Street, I was bugging the record store like crazy when it will arrive and I have that same excitement for this new album. Why? You ask? Because I love the Mona Lisa Twins that’s Why? LOL…Little play on words there….sorry my kids tease me about my humor sometimes….LOL…but this takes me back to 1972 with all the excitement mixed in and I want to be the first kid ( well I still feel like a kid ) to have the Mona Lisa’s new album on my block and crank it on my speakers once my order arrives. Love this little video and tease of new songs, you both have so much fun and it brightens my day just listening to you both talk and laugh and giggle. So lets go with Next Friday and I am ready to place my order with everything I can buy. So looking forward to it. We all love you both and god bless you both

Can’t wait to hear the whole album and really looking forward to the eventual vinyl release. Really appreciate that you are still doing a vinyl version, it would have been so easy in the current environment just to go with the CD. Just one of the many things that makes the MLT so special.

I see the Album Artwork is going to be similar in Design to Duo Sessions. In the fact that I see some references to Song Titles. Songbird pops out Quickly and so does I Bought Myself A Politician.. very clever Ladies.
Lisa it never ceases to amaze me What you can Design. Your talents are Extraordinary.
It should come as no surprise though, as you both are Quite Talented indeed.
I really love the the lyrics collage that will be available. That is a treat in itself.
I sense a bit of a dark side coming in this Album. Nice!!

Can’t wait for the release, can’t come soon enough. And, I love the merch, will be buying all I can to support you two. Well done and a massive well done to Lisa on the amazing art work…..very ‘spacey’ right up my street!
Why? Many unexpected things have happened over the last few years so this question is so relevant. Love the sci-fi cover with the swan (or is it a goose!) in the bottom corner. The flying saucers are so 1960s in style and everyone is just following their phones without thinking. Love that one person has the songbird balloon and maybe wants to jump out of the line? There is even a alien by the ship wreck. What an amazing imagination Lisa has to draw all of this as an album cover. Can’t wait to listen to the rest of the songs to get a better understanding of the background to the various images. And you’ve even got the calendar ready before Christmas! Amazing and good planning. Your excitement is infectious so a big well done for getting to this stage in the process with the CDs nearly ready. I’m ready to order lots of the items which all look great to add to my MLT collection!

Oh that title is absolutely brilliant. Knowing the songs already released, the title is so perfect and makes great sense! And that album art work is so intriguing, it just raises my anticipation and excitement even more to hear the rest of the album, if it is even possible to be more excited. Love everything about that album cover, and that red balloon! The merchandise ideas are so brilliant too, can’t wait to add that nice black pen in it’s pouch to my collection of the Orange pens, I am actually starting an MLT pen collection! HAHAHA. Those songwriting notes/lyrics artwork are so cool, can’t wait to get them in my hands to go with the music. Wow, your creativity on the album name, artwork and merchandise is at another level here. And awesome to here it will be available on vinyl too!!! Love seeing the new calendar.
