Hi there,
I just remembered something from my childhood.
We sometimes went to Chinatown, in Manhattan, NYC, not too far from where I lived. Besides eating the good food, we would go into an arcade where there were games to play and prizes to win.
Well, there was this real live bird (may have been a parrot or chicken?) in an enclosure. I think it was a chicken or rooster.
When we put money (a coin) into a slot in the machine, a light would flash and the bird would pull a string and a prize would come out for us. Something like a plastic egg that opens with a ring or something inside. It was pretty cool.
The bird was trained to pull the string after the light flashed.

Congratulations to Tom and Gary! I’ll just have to buy my vinyl copy now, won’t I? I already love the download! Trudy’s awesome. A few years ago we rescued an even younger, pre-fledged wood pigeon. We called him Nigel. It took a lot of trial and error to arrive at a feeding technique that worked. He eventually chose to return to the wild in our admittedly wild garden. Now every woody we see, we call Nigel. Just in case.

Trudy is a remarkable rescue. A wild character completely at home with you and now part of your family. She looks likes she’s been selecting winners for quite awhile.
Applause to Tom and Gary and to you for “Why”. Just having this event for us emphasized how real your music and lyrics are and how words and phrases resonate with real emotional episodes in our lives. I listen to the songs often when sitting quietly.
Have you thought of publishing sheet music for Why and other originals? It would be a pleasure to have a song book
to play the songs on the piano.
Congratulations to the winners and also to you, Mona and Lisa ! “Why?” is your best album of original songs. All the songs are great and I love how your music has progressed. There are lot of new sounds and influences in the songs. “Make Show” and “Raise Your Head” are lightly funky and “Why?” has a light prog feeling. Despite all these new and fresh influences in your music you still haven´t lose your own character. You sound like MonaLisa Twins and no one else. Great album !! P.S. Trudy steals the show !.

Oh, man. My 33&⅓ vinyl Why? album arrived today!
It’s killer. The whole album is one great song after another, and to have this is vinyl is worth every £ K € $
I just want to mention for a moment here that we value MLT original songs over even their best covers of Beatle tunes, etc. Team MLT is that good at writing catchy tunes.
My compliments, and thank you for another set of original songs, a vinyl edition, and most of all, for just seeing Mona and Lisa play songs in general. That’s the greatest thing to give them an audience.

It’s obvious that Trudy is “nuts” about you. She is now part of the Wagner team, position: winner chooser; location: peanut gallery. She sure knows how to pick ’em. Perhaps she’ll learn to pick a guitar next. All this time I thought that she was a birdbrain. She even pecked at one on the vinyls. That one was signed by Mona, Lisa, AND Trudy.
Is Trudy going to stay with the Wagners? Will she be released into the wild? I guess we’ll find out on a coming episode of “The Bird Whisperers”.

What fun! Congrats to Tom and Gary! I guess you really are getting to know birds that well since you trained Trudy to pick the winners out of the sack! I wonder what else you could train her to do to give you a hand?
All your song lyrics could easily be standalone poetry in their own right. So meaningful and well composed. They make great music into memorable masterpieces.
What else could Trudy be trained to do? Well, she could fetch the raw materials for Mona and Lisa’s pottery projects (clay pigeon), she could position Rudi’s piano bench for him (stool pigeon), or she could facilitate the transmission of diseases (carrier pigeon). Admittedly, some of those would be more helpful than others.

I was just reminiscing about when I won a few records from Radio Stations, back in the 60’s. I won “Love Me Do” with the B side “P.S. I Love You”. Actually I really like the B side much more than the A side.
There are several Beatles singles where I enjoy the B side more than the A.
(Although they also had some “double-sided hits).
I like “You Can’t Do That” much more than “Can’t Buy Me Love”.
I like “Revolution” much more than “Hey Jude”
“She Loves You” was a mega hit, but I really like ” I’ll Get You”.
I always found it hard to choose my favorite Beatle, between Paul & John.
But it seems that most of my favorite songs are from John.
I also remember winning “Love Me With All Of Your Heart”, by the Ray Charles Singers.

STOOPID ME! I shoulda realized the likelihood of Trudy being in charge of picking the winners and buttered her up with some gourmet peanuts or something! I’d’ve been a shoe-in for a test pressing with the right bribe, dadburn it!
Anyway, big congrats to Tom and Gary! I mean that almost as sincerely as I mean this statement: You’re both the envy of me and the rest of the clubbers, for sure! A truly unique, thoughtful prize that would surely be the pinnacle of anyone’s vinyl collection!

I got up a little early this morning. I couldn’t wait to watch the video to see who the lucky winners were. Oh man, it wasn’t me. I wasn’t a lucky one today.
Congrats to Gary and Tom. You lucky guys. That’s a really swell prize you will receive that you can treasure. It’s soooooo nice of Mona & Lisa to share those vinyl test pressings with “Two of Us”.
However, I did have some good news this week. A few days ago, on Tuesday, I received the three vinyl records, that I ordered, in the mail. I received Why? and both versions of Orange. Woo Hoo! That was a pretty speedy delivery this time.
