We’ve got something to say …

… that hopefully won’t cause you pain 🙂 Ideally, it may even make you feel quite groovy. When it comes to requests from you guys, “More live videos from the Cavern Club” is definitely one of the more popular ones. So here we go … This is an exclusive live video for the MLT Club, recorded and filmed at the legendary Cavern Club in Liverpool, during our final show there – on the 8th of October 2016! It’s been the last of 100 concerts on that iconic sweaty stage!

A few MLT Club members were in the audience that day as well, can you spot them? We can still recall the overwhelming feeling of support and appreciation we felt at the end of that gig. Thank you to those who made that and all the other nights there so much fun.

That day marked the end of an era for us, and we are so happy dad and Michaela helped us capture it on video, despite the crowded room and the one drunk guy who thought our dad’s spot was his and his alone.

Charlie Skeggs on drums and Callum Williams on the bass and backing vocals.

A night to remember,
Mona & Lisa

  1. This is the first video that caught my attention and told me these girls were something special. What a great sound for a live performance. That was in October. Then I watched more and more MLT videos on YouTube including interviews and Q&As. Then I bought the Cavern Club CD. 3 months later I now have 9 CDs, a wall calendar, a bunch of picks and logo stickers and an MLT Club membership. I may be addicted. What a fine drug. Lol

  2. Mona does a great job on the lead vocals on this song for sure and the harmonies are excellent as we’ve all come to love. But in this song, Im gonna give a shout out to Callum for his vocals. Besides being a great bass player, he does not take away from the magic of the Twins harmony but adds to it especially on this tune.

  3. This song has always been one of my favourite Beatle rockers. The American releases which I grew up with had the vocals and the instruments in different channels and I used to go back and forth between just listening to the instruments, or going to the other channel and just relishing in the harmonies. It brings back good memories. Mona, you really rock them vocals!

  4. I love all your takes on Beatles songs. I keep playing this one the most. Mona your singing and timing is a good as original, I love your accent and enunciation on your singing of this song. Great rhythm guitar too Mona. If I had to guess you really enjoy this song. As usual Lisa with great lead guitar. Charlie was excellent on drums. I can’t get enough of this one.

  5. I’ve watched this vid a couple of dozen times on YouTube but it still brings a smile to my face. I don’t know if it’s hard on your throat, but Mona you sound great on shouters like this one and The Last Time. Ever tried A Fool In Love by Tina Turner? I admire your drumming too – tho this guy has great energy live.

  6. Well, I’ve got something to say, and some may say “You Can’t Do That”, but it’s honestly the truth. I don’t see the difference, musically, between The Beatles and The MonaLisa Twins when comparing both “Cavern” periods. I’ve seen many, many, bands live, from dodgy ones to the best of the best, and I’ve been on stage quite a bit (though I wasn’t on stage with the best ?) and though some can fill a room and get the crowd going, that essence that The Beatles had, I’ve only seen in The MonaLisa Twins. ??

  7. You can’t do that…that’s the first time I’ve seen that video and I ❤️?it !!….I love those band videos…keep them coming girls !

  8. Absolutely amazing. Mona was fantastic. The video was very clear.
The twins awesome performance really highlights their talents that gets better with each performance.

  9. Great job on the solo. Think it`s the first time i`ve seen it played, when Lennon played it live the camera always focuses on the others. I read that Lennon was insecure, and actually asked not to be filmed while he was playing the solo, but if that`s true or just a legend, i don`t know

  10. Wow! Mona knocked it out of the park! So very good. I really loved this video. The picture quality on my phone really popped out vividly. I just can’t say enough about it. I think AWESOME sums it up perfectly. I hope the world will get to see it, someday.
    ?❤️

  11. What a great and moving performance. Really a treat to see Mona playing and singing lead. Thanks so much for sharing this important milestone in your musical journey. BTW it would be fun (if you have it) to see a video of your very first performance at the Cavern too!

  12. It was a fabulous night, and yes,O remember the sheer panic on Glenn Shepherds face after being asked to participate as Team MLT personal security guard..?…but all-in all..it was a very poignant and emotional evening..fabulous double set of incredible music….great memories for myself and Mason ?❤️

    1. What an extra special night for Mona and Lisa to have You and Mason there. It always means so much more when close friends attend something you are doing to show their support. It makes one, ( in this case two ) feel extra special and warms their heart. ❤❤ ?❤

  13. Such a great night that was, although bittersweet with it being the last. I still find it quite amusing that your dad and Michaela enlisted me as their unofficial bodyguard for the second set!

  14. Wow! I just noticed Mona played the solo on this fabulous cover. Great Job Mona! I don’t know if Mona was lead or not, but none the less Your Fantastic Mona! Thanks

  15. That was just great. Liked the changing camera angles. It was another one of those Beatle songs that I liked immediately when I heard it. The song was a B side song (Can’t But Me Love was on the A side) that I liked better than the A side. Also, we got to see Mona play a little lead guitar which was a real treat.

  16. Ladies thank you so very much for sharing a truly special moment of yours with us. Moments like this come along so seldom in a persons life that it’s rarely captured on film.
You really are magically mystical performers. Mona’s vocals are superb.
    ?❤

  17. What an awesome video! I wish I could have been in the audience, but that was definitely the next best thing. Mona did such a fantastic job, and you all just knocked it out of the park! Love it, and love you all. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks to you all, I have wonderful memories of the Cavern. ☺ ????

  18. Great cover of this Beatles classic. Mona was exceptional on vocals, guitar and just looking great! Sound quality was very good. I had to play it over several times. I hope you’ve got more offerings from the Cavern in the works. Again, really great job!

  19. Very nice thanks for sharing this video. Cool effect with the GoPro on the head stock of the Gretsch. I hope you’re still playing live. Is that something that fits into your business plan? Sorry but staying home and making videos for YouTube is not my idea of a musical career. But don’t pay attention to me I’m a relic of the 60’s. I loved working clubs back then 6 nights a week. Way before DJ’s killed most of the work . . . Disco ugh!!!! Worked through that era as well but it was harder to make a living. Had to get a real job. Anyway I love you guys and listen to you just about every day.

  20. ???????✌️☮️?????️???OMG… That is Frikkin Fab Awesome… Damn… I thoroughly enjoyed watching/listening to this… Thankyou for sharing… Great way to start off a Wknd… Much Groovy Appreciated ???☺️???????❤️

  21. FANTASTIC! GO MONA! LOVE these live videos! I love the camera on Lisa’s headstock too, great perspective. Those guitars sound SO good. Thank you for another great live video, can’t get enough of them.

  22. Plenty more of these to come I’m sure as you likely had cameras and audio recording those last couple of shows at the Cavern which I would have been there for if it wasn’t for that lovely hurricane barreling straight for me on the east coast of Florida. We will hook up sometime soon on your’s or my side of the Atlantic.

  23. Love all your live Cavern Club performances. Those packed out audiences were so lucky. Wish I was there! Is there an “It Ain’t Me Babe” there somewhere!

  24. To see a live performance is on my bucket list. Until then, YouTube will have to do. BTW, 10 views and I was the first to give a thumbs up? C’mon people!

  25. Great live sound and vibe! Love your on stage performances, you’re both awesome. Thank you for sharing this, really enjoyed it.
